Leighton Meester, 26, is best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the hit US TV series "Gossip Girl." She has also starred in a number of movies - in 2010 country drama film"Country Strong," in the 2011 thriller "The Roommate," in the 2011 romantic-comedy "Monte Carlo," among others. Let's do a little recap of the famous personalities that they have chosen to officially endorse

Penshoppe apparel.

Ian Somerhalder arrived in Manila last Saturday to officially endorse Penshoppe.

According to an ABS-CBN report, the 33-year-old actor then flew to El Nido, Palawan on Sunday. The report said that Somerhalder is staying at Lagen Island.

Via his Twitter account, the "Vampire Diaries" star expressed how he is enjoying the island's beautiful scenery.

"Reporting live from some beautiful island in the Philippines where it's,on my time schedule impossible to sleep past 5AM:( SO beautiful here," he tweeted.

Another tweet reads, "Loving the Philippines! On a remote island having dinner with @PENSHOPPE peeps-couldn't be happier;)"

Somerhalder said that he also went snorkeling and swimming with turtles.

"Amazing day here- talking conservation, snorkeling over incredible reef, swimming with turtles but realizing how real climate change is..."

Ian Somerhalder is part of the "Penshoppe All Stars" campaign, placing him alongside Hollywood actors Zac Efron and Ed Westwick, and Thai superstar Mario Maurer.

Hollywood star Zac Efron, who recently signed an endorsement deal with local fashion brand Penshoppe, will visit the Philippines soon, a newspaper report confirmed on Sunday.

Among other things,  Hollywood actor Zac Efron
will probably visit the Philippines after he finishes promoting his latest movie, “The Lucky One,” in Australia and Japan according to Philippine Star Editor Mr. Ricky Lo.

Lo met with the “High School Musical” actor in Beverly Hills, California during Efron’s pictorial for Penshoppe.

“Well, first of all this is an amazing, amazing excuse to go to the Philippines. I’ve always wanted to visit the Philippines. My dad stayed for a long time in the Philippines and he has been telling me great stories about it. I’m looking forward to go surfing, I wanna dive, I wanna swim with the whale sharks, I just wanna hang around, I wanna…yes, I wanna go to the Philippines!” Efron told Lo.

Asked why he agreed to endorse Penshoppe, Efron said he always loved the Philippines.

“I have a lot of friends that are from the Philippines. They are my Philippine connection,” he said.

“Oh yeah, my ex-girlfriend is half-Filipino,” he added, referring to “High School Musical” co-star Vanessa Hudgens.

On Penshoppe, the actor described the clothes as “cool” and “casual.”

“You see, I’m a very casual dresser. In fact, I’m wearing Penshoppe now…the shirt, the jacket. I’ve read about the brand’s history — you know ‘Buy Filipinos, For Filipinos,’” he said.

More foreign endorsers

According to Lo, Efron’s contract with Penshoppe is “the biggest endorsement deal in the Philippines.”

“We are very happy and proud to be the first ever endorsement deal of Zac in the world. The fact that he chose a 100% Filipino brand is something all Filipinos can be proud of as well. With global celebrities endorsing Penshoppe is a great way in the brand’s effort to go international. Just like when Filipino artists or athletes perform in the world arena, winning at home is not enough. Validation from groups outside the Philippines is also important,” said Bernie Liu, chairman of Golden ABC, the owners of the Penshoppe brand.

Penshoppe brand director Alex Mendoza added: “Zac defines the all-new Penshoppe. From a small brand with very humbler beginnings in Mandaue, Cebu, to being the first endorsement choice of a Hollywood A-lister, we have come a long way. We started leveling up a few years back by taking pains to improve our products. Recently, we spent considerable resources in improving our stores and shopping experience. We can’t wait for Zac to visit the Philippines and meet his fans. He’s sending his love to everybody in advance.”

International star ED WESTWICK, better known the world over as Chuck Bass, an overly confident and sexy bad boy, in the popular television series "Gossip Girl," from Josh Schwartz ("The O.C."), based on the tremendously popular book series about privileged teenagers who attend an elite private school in New York City is also part of the Penshoppe all stars.

The announcement was confirmed before by PENSHOPPE Brand Director Alex Mendoza stating that, “the selection of (Westwick) was for the British-born actor to headline the brand’s 2011/12 campaign in the Philippines as well as to introduce a fresh new face that will represent PENSHOPPE’s new and revitalized image,” he explained. “We believe it is time to appoint someone on an international scale. It’s time to show everyone that PENSHOPPE is upgrading itself to international levels. Someone like Ed fits the mindset and is admired by our market.”

Since the introduction of his bad boy character Chuck Bass in the popular series Gossip Girl in 2007, his alter ego has made a unique style impression that has since landed him in magazine covers as well as a style copied by men the world over.

“On its 25th year, PENSHOPPE is proud to have actor Ed Westwick as our headliner. His presence and charisma will definitely wake the Philippines to the fact that what is originally Philippine made can also be worn proudly by a worldwide icon as well as people around the world.”

Lastly, Mario Maurer steps in as Penshoppe’s endorser, The 22-year-old actor and model takes off from the brand's international campaign, which was earlier led this year by British actor Ed Westwick of the popular series Gossip Girl.

"Mario will not only make Penshoppe a bigger fashion name across the borders. He will also help grow the market in the local and Southeast Asian region, especially knowing that he has a gained wide following among the younger set," Mendoza said on selecting the Thai star.

“Mario is fresh, appealing and very influential. He represents the exciting new changes happening to the brand now,” he added.

Maurer, known for his strikingly boyish good looks, and cool, young, free-spirited style, has proved much of himself in the regional entertainment industry. Aside from gracing magazine covers, he has shown sensational acting skills by top-billing films year after year.

Among the films that boosted Maurer’s name to public consciousness was The Love of Siam released in 2007. In his debut role, he played a conflicted teen who develops a romantic liking to his boyhood friend. His remarkable portrayal awed fans from the Philippines, winning a Best Actor award at the 2008 Cinemanila, an annually-held international film festival in the Philippines.

Amazing line up right? :-)
