Lipton Get TEA-gether: Resident Evil Movie Date!

It was a fun filled day, thanks to Lipton Philippines for treating us to watch the latest Resident Evil movie series, "Resident Evil Retribution" in 3D :-)
Too bad me & my friend arrived late :( but just the same we totally enjoyed the action packed movie with free popcorn & drinks! what more can we ask for?:-)
Let's do a little review of the movie :-)
“Resident Evil: Retribution” marks the fifth movie twist out of the popular videogame franchise, and after this many installments, it’s easy to understand why Milla Jovovich’s bothered, butt-kicking heroine, Alice, would want payback. Director and series creative Paul W.S. Anderson lays it out with his hyper edited answer to those comic book recaps of “the story so far”: Alice worked for the all-powerful Umbrella Corporation. That is, until the company inadvertently released a zombie virus, and hurled her out with the collateral-damage trash.
The Resident Evil: Retribution story picks up (literally) where the last film left off: Alice (Jovovich) and her allies are stranded on the Arcadia tanker with an Umbrella strike force ready to attack. After an explosive shootout, Alice is taken hostage by the Umbrella Corporation and moved to a secret facility – where she is interrogated by her former friend Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), who is under the control of anti-humanity super computer, The Red Queen. In order to rescue Alice, who holds the key to a powerful weapon, Ada Wong (Bingbing Li), Leon S. Kennedy (Johann Urb), Barry Burton (Kevin Durand), and returning partner-in-zombie killing Luther West (Boris Kodjoe) lead a strike on the Umbrella facility – fighting through a number of “biohazards” (creatures and people that have been mutated by T-Virus and Las Plagas infections). However, as the team moves from one branch of the facility to the next, new horrors and even some long-awaited answers are unearthed.
While the movie does implement characters that are familiar to gaming fans, any new additions are merely cosmetic as Anderson makes no efforts to adhere to character back stories from the larger franchise canon. Moviegoers like me wanted to watched the movie simply because of Jovovich’s heart stopping moves like neck snapping while wearing a tight leather costume, any girl would dream, of wearing that. I really love the fight scenes and hello Michelle Rodriguez, I totally love her.
Just the same, I would also recommend for you to watch the first films before watching this latest installment so that you won't be confused about what is going on with the movie.
This movie is not for the faint-hearted. The bone cracking scenes plus the 3D effects of hurling swords and knifes can blow you away. :-)
