Anna Karenina Premieres June 3 on GMA Telebabad

Starting on June 3, Kapuso homegrown stars will lead the much awaited remake of the
classic teledrama that used to ran for 6 years in the 90's and I confess that
I used to watch it that time.
In the 90's Anna Karenina, it was played by no less than Antonette Taus,
Sunshine Dizon and Kim Delos Santos. Both Kim and Antonette are busy with their personal lives now, Kim as a full time Mom while Antonette is now living in the US as a business woman. Sunshine is still active in the show business and portrays Perlita in Mundo Mo'y Akin and is also a Mom now.
In the latest remake, Barbie Forteza, Joyce Ching and Krystal Reyes will portray
the roles of Anna Karenina.
Barbie showed her acting abilities when she starred in the tele seryes:
Pilayang Kerubin, Nita Negrita and Paroa: Ang Kwento ni Mariposa, all were a starring role.
You will remember Joyce as the young Shirley in Endless Love plus her remarkeable performance in Pakawalang Anghel: The Michelle Reyes story in
Magpakailanman.
Krystal on the other hand played a marvelous job when she portrayed a young Mom/rape victim in the recent Magpakailanman episode Batang Ina. She also played a lead role in Mga Mata ni Anghelitaand the recent one with Ms. Jennylyn Mercado Hindi ka na Mag-iisa.
Adding kilig to the much awaited series, each were paired with a love team. In the series are Derrick Monasterio, Julian Trono and Hero Peralta.
Last May 28, these 3 lovely ladies: Barbie, Krystal and Joyce together with chosen Bloggers
graced the event of Children’s Hour at the Mind Museum to spend time with 220 children from various socially oriented organizations in Region 3. “Basta isipin nyo lang na kaya nyo yan sa kahit anong pinagdadaanan nyo sa buhay” said Barbie Forteza while giving their words of encouragement. Despite of their busy schedules, the teen Kapuso stars were still able to spend time with the kids and cheered them up. They are sharing their blessings by reaching out and being role models.
Children’s Hour, through its program A+: Arts and Athletics, is providing creative and educational experiences for indigent children. Through these fun-filled activities, public school education is complimented with exposure to arts, culture and athletics. This A+: Arts and Athletics activity is implemented in partnership with Bonifacio Foundation, Inc., and aims to give 2,867 unprivileged Filipino children a day at The Mind Museum.
For me, that time, it was such a fulfilling event to be with the cast of Anna Karenina and to take part in making these children happy. Just by looking at their big smiles while checking out hwat's instore for them at the Mind Museum makes my day complete.
It was also a fun Bloggers Day since we get to have an intimate talk with the lead stars.
We get to know how excited they were with their upcoming teleserye.
I even asked them how pressured and excited they were because Anna Karenina will be on
a time slot that we all know how crucial it is to be in.
'Super pressured and at the same time excited po kami kasi before hindi po namin inaasahan na Telebabad kami malalagay and now na andyan na at after pa po ng 24 oras, sana po ay mapantayan namin ang expectations ng mga tao.' Krystal said.
All of them didn't get to watch the first Anna Karenina tele serye which they think
is much better so that they won't be paranoid in comparing their own acting to the latter.
They wanted to make their own version a little different but not totally leaving
behind the original serye.
Barbie said she played the role naturally because Karen is more on the Kikay side and palaban. While Krystal plays the role of the shy and kind one. Nina on the other hand is the
opposite of Ana and will do everything for revenge.

In the story os Anna Karenina, Donya Carmela will give out 10 million pesos reward on whoever finds her grand daughter Anna Karenina Monte Claro. Hundreds will claim the name, most of them are fake who just wanted to have the money and fame except for the
3 girls who were took aside because they showed authentic birth certificates as a living proof that they are named Anna Karenina.
Could Change, Money, Friendship and unconditional love bring them
true happiness?
Anna Karenina will start on June 3 after 24 oras on GMA Telebabad.
