Kapuso Primetime Queen Carla Abellana inked a recording contract with Universal Records last August 29. The My Husband’s Lover star immediately proceeded to the recording of her first single – a cover of Toni Daya’s hit Kung Alam Mo Lang.

Carla expresses gratitude to everyone who made this project possible – as shown in picture (L-R) Talent Manager Arnold Vegafria, Record Producer Ito Rapadas, General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go, Carla, and UR Operations Manager Peter Chan.

Carla started as a commercial model. Her endorsed products included Pantene shampoo, Jollibee Ice Craze, Beverly Hills 6750, Nestle Magic Sarap, Bench clothing line, Ponds and many more.

In 2009, she auditioned to be one of the three leading ladies of Richard Gutierrez for the television series, Zorro. Instead of giving her a leading lady role in Zorro, the management of GMA Network saw a potential in her and decided to launch her as a new star by giving her a leading role in a television soap. She was chosen to star in the Philippine remake of the Mexican telenovela, Rosalinda which was originally starred by Mexican actress Thalía.
