The highly-anticipated “Galema,” featuring Andi Eigenmann will be having its premiere on national TV this coming September 30, 2013 on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.

ABS-CBN's upcoming new Kapamilya Gold serye: Galema, Anak ni Zuma will tell the story of a mythical creatures known for having a two-headed snake wrapped around her shoulders.  The Kapamilya Network and the creators of the original Zuma series—director Wenn Deramas and writer Jim Fernandez—have already agreed to bring it to life again via television.

Galema, Anak ni Zuma is sure to heat up your nights with the beautiful and sultry Galema, which will be played by one of the most talented and stunning faces in showbiz Ms. Andi Eiganmann. According to Andi, this is a challenging role for her, "In 'Agua Bendita,' I have a twin sister. Dito sa 'Galema,' I have twin snakes,".

"It’s a lot harder now because we shot so many scenes on location and there are more special effects. "Instead of using live snakes, it’s all computer-generated.

In terms of reuniting again with her leading man before in Agua Bendita Matteo Guidicelli,  she said, "Matteo and I haven't worked for a long time after 'Agua Bendita. A lot has happened to both of us.  Now we’re together again and a lot has changed. Matteo is looking so good now, kesa noong magkasama kami sa Agua Bendita.'

The man behind the hit series Marina, Kampanerang Kuba, Dyosa and other popular fantaseryes, director Wenn Deramas will create the television version of Galema with Raymund Dizon as business unit head.

Anak ni Zuma was serialized by Aliwan Komiks from 1976 to 1984, making it one of the longest running series in Philippine komiks.  In 1985, the film Zuma was shown to the public with Max Laurel cast as the evil Zuma and Snooky Serna as his kind-hearted daughter named Galema. Max reprised his role in the follow-up film titled Anak ni Zuma.

In the 1985 movie, Zuma (Max Laurel) was entombed in a buried Aztec pyramid but he was unearthed by an archaeological expedition team. The demigod wrecks havoc in the world but he is buried again in an avalanche. Years later, he resurfaces and faces his offspring (played by then child star Snooky Serna).

The Kapamilya star went on to explain that "Galema," through the character's struggles as a supernatural being in the modern world, will focus on the value of recognizing an individual's worth beyond the physical form.

"Pinapakita niya na wala sa panlabas na anyo ang pagkatao ng isang tao. Hindi mo 'yun makikita sa kung ano ang itsura niya, kung nakakatakot man, o anuman. Hindi ibig sabihin na iyon narin 'yung nilalaman niya.

"Dapat bigyan natin ang lahat ng tao ng pagkakataon na makilala at hindi tayo mag-judge ng mga tao," she said.

Joining Eigenmann in "Galema: Anak ni Zuma" are Matteo Guidicelli, Meg Imperial, Sunshine Cruz, Sheryl Cruz, Carlos Morales, Divina Valencia, Lito Legaspi, and Derick Hubalde as Zuma.
