Status: It's Complicated Opens in Theaters on Nationwide November 6 Only from Regal Entertainment Inc.

REGAL Entertainment, Inc.'s upcoming offering, "Status: It's Complicated," gathers some of today's hottest actors and actresses to breath new life to a film inspired by late master director Ishmael Bernal's classic, "Salawahan."

Promising director Chris Martinez is at the helm of the movie earmarked for a Nov. 6 release. It topbills Jake Cuenca, Eugene Domingo, Paulo Avelino, Maja Salvador and Solenn Heussaff in a tale that delves into the universal subject of love, sex and relationship.
"Napapanahon pa rin siya," Direk Chris says of his latest opus. "Ginawa naming itong mas modern at mas contemporary. Siyempre, iba na ang mga artista, mas masaya at mas hip."
The megman, whose impressive works include "Ang Babae sa Septic Tank" and "Shake, Rattle & Roll Xlll's" "Rain Rain Go Away," among others, is a self-confessed Bernal fan.
He particularly considers "Salawahan" and "Working Girls" as two of his big Bernal favorites.
"I go for fun movies," the emerging film genius adds.

"Status: It's Complicated" delves into the lives of Manny (Jake) and Jerry (Paulo), who have been best buddies and housemates for years.

They are so different from each other, especially where heart matters are concerned.
Manny (the character originally played by Mat) is a chef gifted with good looks, not to mention ripped abs. He believes that love, like sex, can and must be shared with as many girls as possible.

Jerry, meanwhile, is a dorky-but-cute graphic designer who sees love as something sacred and serious. By some stroke of fate, Manny and Jerry decide to swap lifestyles.

Yet by another colorful twist, Manny unexpectedly falls hard for Rina (Maja), a conservative hot babe who would not have any of his romantic or sexual advances.
And so, he eventually ends up being a one-woman man.

Jerry, on the other hand, gets his hands (and body) dirty with two of his favored clients - Sylvia (Solenn), a foreign-educated fashion designer,

and Marian (Eugene), a well-educated sexologist.

As Manny and Jerry compare notes, they discover and end up having love and sex lives intertwined with each other as a result of their serious involvement with the three women.
Fun-filled and feel-good, "Status: It's Complicated" is one movie that will defy today's notions on love, sex and relationship.
