Give hope this Holiday Season at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls

This Christmas season, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls encourages guests to give hope through its line-up of holiday outreach activities.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls greeted the holiday season with an intimate tree lighting ceremony at the Eastwood Mall Open Park that honored victims of recent calamities Typhoon Yolanda and the Bohol Earthquake.

Amidst the angelic music of the UST singers and The Company, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls shared the different holiday events that would help shoppers and Filipinos in need have a merry Christmas.Aside from donating goods collected through its relief drive, Eastwood Mall is dedicating its tree with its 55,000 lights as a symbol of hope for everyone affected by the Typhoon Yolanda and Bohol Earthquake.

Lucky Chinatown is also hosting a series of events to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Shoppers can enjoy a benefit concert called “A Holiday Symphony” on December 17, 6PM. Guests will be enchanted with music from the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and can donate cash which will be given to typhoon victims through the Philippine National Red Cross.  

They can also try a free dance session from G-Force at G-Force for a Cause on December 22, 5PM at Lucky Chinatown Walk. To get a slot for the session, they can purchase a CD of G-Force at the event venue; proceeds will go towards those affected by Typhoon Yolanda.  

Kids will also not be forgotten this Christmas as Megaworld Lifestyle Malls holds a Christmas Toy Drive. All the Santa’s Corners at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, located at the 3rd Floor Floor of Eastwood Mall fronting Toys R Us, the 3rd Floor of Lucky Chinatown fronting California Pizza Kitchen and the Ground Floor of Venice Piazza near the entrance, plus the Toy Village at Eastwood City Walk will have donation boxes where shoppers can drop off new and previously loved toys that will surely make Christmas merrier for kids affected by Typhoon Yolanda.  

Megaworld’s parent firm Alliance Global Group of tycoon Andrew Tan, has pledged to donate P100 million to several relief organizations to aid the typhoon survivors. 

Among the organizations reached by Megaworld Foundation are the Philippine National Red Cross, ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCII),  the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc., GMA Kapuso Foundation, Caritas Manila, Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, World Vision, Gawad Kalinga and the feeding at Villamor Airbase.

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls also held a donation drive where shoppers generously gave food items like canned goods and biscuits, bottled water, medicines and clothes, blankets and slippers at Eastwood Mall, Lucky Chinatown, Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila, Burgos Circle at Forbes Town Center and Venice Piazza at Mckinley Hill. These items were given to ABS-CBN Sagip Kapamilya, the Philippine National Red Cross and Gawad Kalinga.
