Set in the 1960s, the movie is based on the life of a notorious Manila gangster, Arturo "Boy Golden" Porcuna and ER will portray his role. Lou Salvador Jr. previously played the same role in Alias Golden Boy, as did Rudy Fernandez in Isang Araw Isang Buhay.

Directed by Chito S. Rono (Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure), it also features big screen veterans Eddie Garcia, John Estrada and Tonton Guiterrez.

As the female lead character, KC had to undergo training with stunts director Seng Kawee, the same fight director who coached Angelina Jolie in the movie Tomb Raider.

Directed by Chito Roño and produced by ER himself, the film also promises a bit of drama and comedy. The movie also stars John Estrada, Tonton Gutierrez, Leo Martinez, Gloria Sevilla, and Eddie Garcia.

In 2 succeeding years of Metro Manila Film Fest, films co-produced by and starring ER Ejercito won major awards, including Best Picture for "Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story" and Second Best Picture for the 2012 Emilio Aguinaldo biopic, "El Presidente."

"Boy Golden," along with seven other entries for the annual film festival, will premiere on Christmas day DECEMBER 25.
