Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story promises an action-packed thriller reminiscent of well-beloved Filipino action classics

Last December 21, Boy Golden: Shoot to Kill cast had a mall tour at Glorietta activity center.
Thankfully, I was invited to cover the event because I really want to meet KC Concepcion in person and this is really a promising movie coming from my favorite director of all time who doesn't need to prove his worth because he is indeed an amazing director, none other than Direk Chito Rono.
For the opening act, Bugoy Villar made a song number and also played some games with
the fans and people who are watching the show. The winners got the chance to win gifts like t-shirt, movie posters and dvds!
John Estrada also graced the mall tour and he talked about his role in the movie. He will playing the rival of ER Ejercito. Acording to him, this role was not new to him but of course, it's still a challenge for him knowing that he will be acting under Chito Rono so he must do his best. He also gave posters and shirts to fans who were delighted to see him that night.
Next up is the most awaited star of the night, no less than Ms. KC Concepcion.
She looks radiant and really beautiful that night. She made it sure that she will plenty of time with the people who are present at the mall tour. Fans got the chance to mingle with her and at the same time while she was doing a song number, she is also busy giving away posters and t-shirts. It was nice to see artists give time to fans who wanted to see them personally.
We also got the chance to interview KC after the show. According to her, this was her first time to work with Direk Chito Rono and the experience was surreal. She added that he is the best director and he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone anymore which challenged her more to give her best for this movie.
She also compared doing drama and action movies. KC did a heavy drama with her telerserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala which she said it was a milestone and a turning point in her career. Doing action is different according to her, she have to undergo training from Thai stunt director Kawee “Seng” Sirikanerat who also did the stunt direction of Asiong Salonga.

Some of his famous body of work includes “The Beach,” “Ong Bak,” “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and the Cradle of Life” and “The Expendables 2.
KC encourages everyone to watch this movie because this is really worth watching.
She doesn't want to expect any awards but it would be nice to receive one since she recently won a Best Supporting award.

The action packed movie is inspired by a true story. ER Ejercito plays Arturo Porcuna alias “Boy Golden,” one of the most notorious gangsters in Manila in the early 1960s.
Presumed dead by many, Boy Golden one day returns to exact revenge on an old adversary from a rival gang.Along the way, Boy Golden meets Marla Dee (Concepcion), a stunning but vindictive woman with exactly the same agenda. The 2 join forces and enter a world of gunfights and bloodshed.
ER is the third actor to play the role, following the late Lou Salvador Jr. and Rudy Fernandez in “Alyas Golden Boy” (1963) and “Isang Araw, Isang Buhay” (1979), respectively.
