Awards season kicks off on Sunday night as the 71st annual Golden Globe awards starts at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.

The ceremony, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the second consecutive year, celebrates the best in film and TV of 2013 – and is generally regarded as a sign of things to come for the Academy Awards, who announce their nominations this coming Thursday.
