The  nominations for the 2014 Oscars was announced today in Los Angeles, presented by Chris Hemsworth and Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs. The 86th Academy Awards, given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, will be awarded during a ceremony aired live on ABC channel on Sunday, March 2. 

 Ellen DeGeneres and the man of the hour – the Oscar statuette. Ellen DeGeneres will be hosting the Academy awards for the second time. She last hosted the 79th Academy Awards in 2007 and garnered an Emmy nod for it.
