Last May 27, Maybe This Time Stars Held a BlogCon at ELJ Building. It is indeed a star studded BlogCon because we were graced with the presence of the Primetime King Coco Martin and Box Office Queen Ms. Sarah Geronimo. Award winning Director Jerry Lopez Sineneng also attended the said event. It was a feel good morning as the stars freely answered our curiosity and questions about the said film.

Star Cinema continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary as it joins forces with Viva Films in “Maybe This Time,” the biggest romantic film this season. “Maybe This Time” marks the maiden and highly-anticipated big screen collaboration between two of ABS-CBN’s biggest and most bankable stars: Primetime King Coco Martin and Box-Office Queen Sarah Geronimo.

According to Coco Martin, he felt really comfortable working with Sarah.
This is the first time that he has done a light movie. Not action, not heavy drama but a light romantic movie and this is a challenge to him, which is why the creative team told him that he should be transparent with his weakness so that he can play around with his role which surprised all of them because Coco accepted this with open arms. For him, it was a dream come true working with Sarah, he said, "Sino ba naman ang aktor na hindi gugustuhing hindi makapareha si Sarah na napaka galing na artista"

Coco added that while they were taping, he has forgotten that he is working with the Box Office Queen, because once the camera is rolling, they are completely taken over with their respective roles. Sarah made him feel at those moments that they were really in love which made him even more inspired to do his best on this movie.

In Maybe This Time, we will see a different Sarah Geronimo. The creative even Sarah herself said that you will definitely see the difference of her past roles like Laida Magtalas to her role now as Steph. Her role now is more mature, tackling issues that people might think can also be her own story in real life.

According to Sarah, the famous line that is now circulating social media site
"There was never an us" is actually a phrase that is really hard to say because you are not only hurting yourself but also that person involved. She was also asked what she has learned in love so far now that she has grown into a mature 26 year old woman,
“Mamimili ka ng klase ng pagmamahal… kasi merong pagmamahal na mababaw.
“Hindi naman tayo nandito para manghusga ng pagmamahal na pinagdadaanan ng bawat tao, pero at the end of the day, we want to have the kind of love na buung-buo sa puso mo, na hindi lang dahil you want to please the other person, the other half.
“Dapat masayang-masaya ka rin dahil naging totoo ka sa sarili mo.”

For Sarah and Coco Martin, when is the right time to fall in love?
According to Sarah, "Wala namang makakapagsabi sa atin kung ano ang pag-ibig na nakalaan para sa ‘yo. Kapag ikaw ang nagmahal, siyempre you want to love to last forever.

As for Coco, he said that you will definitely feel it if the right person is there. "Ako kasi naniniwala ako na it's okay to give many chances kahit6th chance pa yan kasi you will never know baka nga siya na ang right one for you. Ako kasi I give my 100% sa taong mahal ko at gusto ko sigurado ang lahat, alam nya at alam ko na nagmamahalan nga kami."

Direk Jerry says that the entire cast worked as a united team. "Sarah learned a lot of tips in drama from Coco while he learned a lot from her when it comes to lightness. Ruffa is perfectly cast. Ruffa commands power and respect just by merely standing. Everyone will experience the pains and joys of love-through this movie. Moviegoers will surely fall in love when they watch this film."

Directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng and written by Anton Santamaria and Melai Monge, “Maybe This Time” is a love story centered on Steph Asuncion (Sarah Geronimo) and Tonio Bugayong (Coco Martin). Steph and Tonio are polar opposites and the only thing they have in common is the fact that they fell in love with each other. Circumstances beyond their control eventually compelled them to trek separate paths and lead different lives until they finally meet after so many years to confront an unfinished business that may or may not be resolved.

After leaving Steph, Tonio became involved with an unlikely girlfriend in the person of Monica (Ruffa Guttierez) who happens to be the boss of Steph in the PR firm she is working for. Monica instructs Steph to transform and reinvent Tonio for him to fit into Monica’s wortld. Will their burning passion with each other be finally rekindled or will they conclude a major chapter in their lives and simply move on? Ultimately, Tonio and Steph will be reminded of the great significance of time and the inevitability of change in their relationship.

“Maybe This Time” is a story on how two people will be reminded about the importance of being truthful to one’s self for true love to triumph.
