Hawak Kamay Premieres on July 21 after TV Patrol

Hawak Kamay cast held a Grand PressCon last July 18 spearheaded by the most sought after hunk in the Philippine showbiz business, no other than Mr. Piolo Pascual. Before the PressCon, there was a Thanksgiving Mass.
“Hawak Kamay” details the story of a beat down man named Gin (Piolo Pascual), who has dreams of making it big as a musician and is faced with various challenges that may make or break his belief in himself and in the value of the relationships. He begins the story by the side of the woman he loves, Me-ann (Nikki Gil), and is joined by three parentless children, Emong (Zaijan Jaranilla), Harriet (Xyriel Manabat), and Ningning (Yesha Camille). Their situation unfolds under the watchful eye of the estate executor, Atty. Bianca Magpantay (Iza Calzado).
According to Piolo Pascual, working with kids is refreshing for him, Piolo will be working with child stars Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, Andrea Brillantes, and Yesha Camille, the kid who was under Piolo in the Promil Pre-School i-Shine Talent Camp.
“It’s a blessing. My son is already a teenager so working with these kids is something new. Asked how does he feel working with these kids who are really born to act, “Ang sarap lang. I have so much admiration for them. Nare-refresh ako every time I work with kids. I guess I’m fortunate to be given this kind of work, blessing from ABS-CBN to be working with the superstars that we from the station." He also added, "I always welcome challenges and I always want to work with new kids, ang sarap lang kasi because you see them grow through your leadership. I hope it has an impact one way or another sa buhay nila.”
When asked about his love life which most of us are really curious about, he said, “I want a big family,” he said. “Kaso habang tumatanda parang kumonti nang onti, kasi baka ‘yong apat na ‘yon dalawa na lang. Pero ideally sana four, not necessarily four. I grew up in a family of six, mahirap kapag mag-isa ka lang.” Piolo said that the public will know that he’s with the right person “kapag nag-quit na ako.”
Iza Calzado will be portraying a character with a strong personality. She also revealed that she will be playing the role of a lawyer in the serye. She will be the love interest of Piolo Pascual. Iza said it has always been a pleasant experience working with Piolo or PJ which is what she calls him. They have worked briefly before in Milan Movie and now, working closely in a teleserye. As for Nikki Gil, this is a big blessing for her especially working with Piolo Pascual.
It also a comeback project for Victor Neri whom we missed on the big screen also the first teleserye of Ryan Bang. The cast will be behind the story of Gin (Piolo), a failed musician who becomes the guardian of the 3 orphans that his departed sister adopted: Emong (Zaijan), Dara (Xyriel) Ningning (Yesha). Attorney Bianca (Iza) and her sister Lorrie (Andrea) will witness how the reluctant and unprepared Gil ends up as a potential father figure to these 3 kids. As they encounter different trials, Gin gains sight of the more important things in life, and little by little, they all realize what exactly makes up a family.

The cast of Hawak Kamay will have a mall show at Ayala Fairview Terraces on Sunday July 20 before it premieres on Monday July 21. It will be at 4pm.
