Hercules 2014 Movie Review Starring Dwayne Johnson

I was able to watch Hercules last week at Ayala Fairview Terraces and I enjoyed the
movie because Fairview Terraces offers great cinematic experience in their theaters.
The chairs are comfy and it is really cold inside. I recommend for you to watch a movie at Fairview Terraces if you live near the area.
I'm glad that Dwayne Johnson is back in his newest film "Hercules" after being a part of Fast and the Furious 6 where he plays the role of a law abiding cop who joined forces in the end with Vin Diesel and his gang in the end.
The director of the film, Brett Ratner was also the director of the trilogy movie Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand which is equally amazing especially the cinematography of the film.
Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. The story begins after the labors, and after the legend…Fourteen hundred years BCE, a tormented soul walked the earth that was neither man nor god. Hercules was the powerful son of the god king Zeus, for this he received nothing but suffering his entire life. After twelve arduous labours and the loss of his family, this dark, world-weary soul turned his back on the gods finding his only solace in bloody battle. Over the years he warmed to the company of six similar souls, their only bond being their love of fighting and presence of death. These men and women never question where they go to fight or why or whom, just how much they will be paid. Now the King of Thrace has hired these mercenaries to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. It is time for this bunch of lost souls to finally have their eyes opened to how far they have fallen when they must train an army to become as ruthless and blood thirsty as their reputation has become.
Hercules is based on the Radical Studios graphic novel “Hercules: The Thracian Wars” by Steve Moore and Admira Wijaya. I have watched Hercules 3D Immortals starring Kelan Lutz and honestly, both movies live up to my expectations. They are full of action, great graphics that will make you hang onto your seats plus muscles overload!
The supporting cast for Hercules has its fair share of seasoned acting veterans, like Ian McShane (Jack the Giant Slayer), John Hurt (Doctor Who) and Peter Mullan (War Horse). Meanwhile, the younger players – relatively speaking – include Joseph Fiennes (American Horror Story: Asylum), Rufus Sewell (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen), Ingrid Bolsø Berdal (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters), Aksel Hennie (Headhunters) and Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones).
All in all the movie was epic to me, Dwayne Johnson as the Greek ancient Demi God is just as perfect as the movie goes, the visulas is superb especially when they are showing still of how Hercules did his 12 labors. Although I love the film, Hercules in this film is shown a bit like Alexander the Great. Unfortunately, this means that everything we love about this character is effectively destroyed. It tells us that the monsters existed but he didn't killed it on hiw own, he killed the monster or did the 12 labors with the help of his companions who are also skilled and great in combat, which sort of takes the fun out of Greek Mythology. The execution of this is ultimately a rather confusing one. But just the same I recommend for you to watch this movie :)
