Orianthi Every Road Promo Tour In Manila

At the age of 6 years old when Orianthi picked up a guitar, they knew things will never
be the same again. She grew up in the Southern Australian town of Adelaide where she was taught how to play piano at the age of 3. Her father was part of a Greek band and there were plenty of guitars at their home. When she was introduced to acoustic guitar, she knew then that it would be her passion to play it.
During her press conference at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati, Orianthi said that her musical influences were Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Santana, Van Halen, Guns n' Roses and Aerosmith. She felt really lucky because at the age of 11, her father introduced her to Carlos Santana which made a huge impact on her and since then she was very determined to perform. At the age of 15 she left school and follow her dreams.
The turning point in her career came when she was able to perform with Carrie Underwood back in 2009 Grammy Awards. It was a big hit that she continued having gigs and the most prestigious one was performing with the late Pop Icon Michael Jackson.
Orianthi released her major label debut "Believe" in 2009. The album produced the platinum single "According to You" which was a worldwide hit. She was also asked to join Alice Cooper's band in 2011. All these experiences gave her the freedom, credibility and confidence to make her own music and be the artist she wanted to be.
Orianthi's biggest song to date is According to you. Voted as Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year in 2010 by Guitar International magazine, her song "Better with you" is currently in the #5 spot in the US charts. She will release her new single this month "Every Road Leads Home to You" which is an original song by Richi Sambora. She also recently released her new album "Best of Orianthi" in Japan last August 13.
Orianthi is set to perform in several venues in Manila from Aug. 20 to 27 in line with the release of her very first Best Of album which is being released in Japan this month. In Manila, Orianthi holds special performances on the following dates: Aug. 27 at the Hard Rock Café in Makati; Aug. 25, 19 East at Km. 19, East Service Road in Sucat, Parañaque; and Aug. 22, Chef and Brewer on Emerald Ave. in Ortigas Center.
