Miguel Tanfelix Inspires Kids of Dr. Jose P. Rizal Elementary School on his 16th Birthday

Last September 18, Miguel Tanfelix of also famous in the name of Nino, celebrated
his 16th birthday in a special way. Usually, we are all accustomed to celebrating our birthday in a big bash together with family and friends and this is not typical when it comes to celebrities too but this time, Miguel wanted to share his blessings and spend time with
children who are also close to his heart.
Miguel spend his birthday with the kids of Dr. Jose P. Rizal Elementary School. The school fortunately offers a special curriculum for kids who needs special care. You might remember that Miguel portrayed a very challenging role in "Nino" a primetime drama requiring meticulous artistry. Miguel’s realistic portrayal of a mentally-handicapped but kind-hearted boy won him a massive following in no time. He became a household name because of this major teleserye and it was also a high rating show.
When Miguel came in the covered court, the kids went wild! They are indeed a big fan of "Nino" and they all wanted to tyake a photo of him. His best friend Renz Valerio was his special guest and he's there in an all out support for his friend and also to celebrate his birthday.
It was indeed a fun and meaningful moment for the kids as Miguel sung them a song and also performed a dance number with Renz and even did fun games with cool prizes for the kids who giddily participated in the activities.
They even danced with Miguel and Renz. Together with the aid of the interns of De La Salle
College, they danced in a grace while Miguel and Renz joined them.
Both Renz and Miguel became busy sharing gifts after their performance. The kids also enjoyed the food that they ate while watching the birthday boy perform for them.
Miguel said that this is the first time that he felt really overjoyed spending a different kind of celebration, he said it was all worth it.
The Kapuso teen star is surely living the dream. From a showbiz hopeful barely a decade ago, he transitioned into a versatile young actor that is now being paired with Bianca Umali, winning hearts of televiewers via GMA Network’s top-rating drama series Niño — his biggest break yet. Not only does he landed a big role, he also now endorses a clothing line which is BUM apparel that famous teens like Daniel Padilla and Bea Binene once endorsed.
For 10 years, Miguel waited for a lead role. Fresh off a runner-up finish in reality talent search StarStruck Kids in 2004, he never stopped hoping for a career-making project. As a child actor, he played minor roles in various GMA hit series, including Mulawin and Majika.
Miguel learned at an early age that nothing ever comes easy which is why there are certain points in his life that he wanted to just focus on his studies but he realized that his passion for acting will forever haunt him, now he is living his dream.
Now a senior high school student at Cavite School of Life, Miguel is unsure of his collegiate plans. He could be an engineer or a pilot one day, he says — but one thing’s for certain: He is well on his way to being the next best thing.
Renz Valerio on the other hand supports Miguel in every way. He mentioned that he has known Miguel ever since they were kids and he never changed. He is still the same Miguel he once knew. He added that just like Miguel who supports him all the way, he will do the same
for him. Right now, Renz is being honed as a total performer. He is really good in dancing which is why He will also be seen in Walang Tulugan of Kuya Germs. He is also seen on Sunday All Stars and has proven how good he is in acting when he became part of Basang Sisiw showcasing major drama scenes.
