HOPE in a Bottle: Helping Build Public Schools Nationwide

Our country is currently in dire need of more than 27,000 classrooms according to the Seth Mydans NY Times article about Philippine Classroom Shortage. The figure stated above, mind you, is almost three years old. The demand for new classrooms increases each year due to our ballooning population. Figures say that with 88 percent of Filipino students in public schools, the country is suffering from a classroom shortage of 66,800.
Hope In A Bottle is the cause-oriented brainchild of Friends of Hope, Inc., led by former actress Nanette Medved and Ricky Gomez, a former San Miguel Corp. big boss. Friends of Hope has committed 100 percent of its profits — meaning whatever is left after all the expenses needed to manufacture, market and deliver Hope In A Bottle have been met — to the building of public school classrooms nationwide.
Friends of Hope, Inc. works hand in hand with Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) in handling sales profits and in choosing schools from the list provided by the Department of Education. The project will undergo bidding first before construction starts and will be handled by PBSP under their "TEN Moves" program (a campaign to build 10,000 classrooms in the Philippines by October 2012 through a donation of PhP10.00/day X 10 months from 2 million people).
Just recently, HOPE in a Bottle partnered with Yoshinoya during Miss Earth 2014.
We also support the cause and congrats to Hope in a Bottle for creating such a
wonderful cause.
Hope In A Bottle is supported and distributed by Rustan’s, Ministop, Krispy Kreme, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Jamba Juice, Shopwise, Kenny Rogers, Super 8, Suy Sing, Landmark, South Supermarkets and selected Robinsons Supermarkets.
