Rich, Colleen, Sheena and Yasmien Celebrated Their Birthday at AFP Medical Center

Four of the gorgeous actress of GMA Artist Center celebrated their birthday last January and also pays tribute to the sick soldiers who are currently confined at AFP Medical Center. 

Even though these soldiers are wearing robes and are not feeling well that day, it was all registered on their faces how excited they all are for the celebration that took place. 

The four January celebrants: Yasmien Kurdi, Sheena Halili, Coleen Perez, and Rich Asuncion not only celebrated their birthdays but also gave time to salute and honor the men and women who sacrificed a lot for the welfare and security of our beloved country.
According to them, it was their first time to celebrate something this memorable and they feel blessed to celebrate their birthdays with these heroes.

Colleen Perez celebrated her birthday last January 23, her wish for her 20th birthday is to have more projects. She said she wanted to attend workshops so that she can enhance her talent more. She's been doing commercials before and now that she is part of More Than Words as Molly, one of the Mean Girls, she feels grateful for GMA for continuously giving her nice projects.  She also became part of an indie movie 1st ko si 3rd which is part of the Cinemalaya.

“I’m very thankful. Aside from very memorable ‘yung AFP sa akin kasi dito kami nag-shoot ng first ever blockbuster movie ko na ‘1st ko si 3rd,' hanga ako sa kanila kasi ‘yung ginagawa nila hindi madali ‘yun,” 

Rich Asuncion celebrated her birthday last January 22. Now that she is 26 years old, she wants to finish her studies soon. First Princess of StarStruck: The Next Level. She was also First Runner-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2009. She is currently part of GMA Afternoon Prime teleserye "Yagit" where she plays the role of Odette Montecillo. Prior to that, she also became part of Kambal Sirena and Binoy Henyo. She is thankful to GMA Artist Center for always giving her projects and continuously supporting her endeavours in life. 

With the recent Miss Universe pageant, she congratulated MJ Lastimosa for doing an excellent job in the competition. According to her, they have the same trainer and she did all her best. Just to be part of the top 15 is a big step. 

Rich shared how special this celebration is because she really wanted to do a charity birthday even before and celebrating with the soldiers is just as perfect, “Very special sila sa atin dahil sila ‘yung nagpo-protect sa atin at sa country. Hindi talaga ako nagse-celebrate ng birthday kasi wala dito ‘yung family ko, nasa Bohol. I’m happy na marami pa akong kasama today.”

Her message to our soldiers, “Carry on, don’t lose hope. Kung ano man ‘yung problema, ‘yung pinagdadaanan nila ngayon, this too shall pass. Malalampasan din nila ‘yun, there’s a brighter tomorrow for every one of us,”

Sheena Yvette Castro Halili or Sheena Halili celebrated her birthday last January 16. We all know that she is part of the first batch of Starstruck, a reality based show of GMA 7. She considers her role in the show MariMar as her biggest break on television. She also appeared as Cynthia in Ako si Kim Sam Soon and in LaLola as Vicky. She was also seen in the action show Zorro. After working on Zorro, her next project was Rosalinda wherein she played Becky, Rosalinda's best friend. Halili got her first lead role as Pepper in SRO Cinemaserye: Reunion with Jennica Garcia. She was also reunited with ex-boyfriend Rainier Castillo in Prime time via Full House.

She shared that she celebrated her birthday in Baguio with her family. She feels like she doesn't need to wish for anything else right now because she feels blessed for having a healthy and wonderful family and she is thankful to GMA Artist Center for the projects given to her. Right now, she is wishing for that one special thing. A real and lasting love life. Yup, you read that correctly, she's been single for three years now and not that she is complaining but she also missed that feeling of being with someone. 

Sheena added that she is not being too picky with it comes to having a boy friend, it's just that, it's not yet the right time or the right guy is not yet there to sweep her off her feet. She's been dating and going out but right now, she is really single.

She was recently part of Tanikala (GMA News TV) and Hiram na Alaala with Dennis Trillo, Kris Bernal and Rocco Nacino. She was also nominated last year for Best Supporting Actress Golden Screen TV Awards for Indio.

“Masaya ako dahil naisip ng Artist Center na mag-celebrate kasama ‘yung mga sundalo natin na nagtanggol sa atin o talagang binuwis nila ‘yung buhay nila para sa atin. Sobrang masaya ako na meron pa pala tayo pwede pang pasayahin, meron pa tayong dapat bisitahin, merong maalala. Masarap ‘yung feeling ko na nakapagbigay ako ng saya sa kanila.”

“Maraming maraming salamat. ‘Wag kayong makakalimot. Alam niyo si God talaga, kahit nasaan man kayo, ano man estado niyo sa buhay, hindi niya kayo pababayaan. Mahal niya kayo dahil marunong kayo magmahal ng kapwa,”

Yasmien Yuson Kurdi-Soldevilla, popularly known as Yasmien Kurdi celebrated her birthday last January 25. She was also part of the first batch of Starstruck and is part of the final four as well. After the said reality show, Yasmien has done numerous projects via Kapuso channel and is also a successful singer.She also became famous with the roles of Mira in the hit fantasy series Encantadia, Salve Dizon de Leon in the remake of Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita, Shayne Rodrigo in the hit remake Saan Darating Ang Umaga?, a role originated by Maricel Soriano.

She is now happily married with husband Rey Soldevilla and has a daughter Ayesha Zara. Her daughter is very cute and adorable, it seems that she would be following the steps of her Mom in the future because she is holding that microphone and singing like she is a total performer as well.

Yasmien is currently part of GMA Afternoon prime's teleserye, "Yagit" as Dolores Macabuhay and was also part of Rhodora X before with Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras.
She is thankful to everyone who is continuously supporting Yagit because they are now extended till March. For her 26th birthday, all she's wishing for is good health for her family and more projects to come for her showbiz career. She also wish to comeback on her first love which is singing as well. 

Yasmien also shared, "Malapit sa puso ko ang V. Luna Hospital iba pang tawag sa AFP Medical center dahil marami akong nakilalang sundalo dito. Mga sundalong doktor."

“I’m very happy na nakapag-serve ako sa mga kababayan nating sundalo na nagse-serve din sila sa country natin. Parang naalagaan mo na rin ‘yung bansa mo dahil inaalagaan mo rin sila.”

“Magpagaling sila at ‘wag silang mawawalan ng drive sa pagtatanggol sa Pilipinas. Nakikipaglaban sila na kahit sila na mismo nasasaktan sila, nasusugatan sila pero sige pa rin. Sobrang thankful ako na ganun nila tayo pinagtatanggol,”

Aside from singing with the soldiers, the birthday celebrants also shared 
wonderful gifts to all of them.
