Free workshops, live demos and more await art lovers at Eastwood City’s Art Market

Be ready for an artful weekend at Eastwood City!

This May 22 to 24, prepare for the ultimate arts weekend at the Eastwood City Art Market. Happening at the Eastwood Open Park, the Eastwood City Art Market is a haven for art lovers, a 3-day event with different artworks from over twenty young and up-and-coming Filipino artists on display, plus fun art activities and demonstrations for guests to enjoy.

Somnia Collective

Guests can join the afternoon activities lined up on May 23 including a collaborative Mural Wooden Painting at 3:00 PM by Somnia Collective, Austin Suarez, Ivy Floresca, Shintaro Lopez, Mark Evangelista, and May Caras; Mural Painting at 4:00pm by Alfred Galvez; and lastly, a special live art session by Doodle Art Enthusiasts.

A highlight of the event is the public art demonstration on May 24 of the celebrated Father of Philippine Art Workshop and art icon, Fernando Sena. Done in partnership with Art Discovery and Learning Foundation, Inc, Sena will be conducting workshops on Portrait Sketching at 4:00pm and Pastel Painting at 5:00pm. Various side activities from participating exhibitors also make this Art Market a lively 3-day art affair. Guests can take a pick from live portraits and henna tattoo from Chaez’KuroBiswal; live painting by Ateneo Grids, Mendez Big & Small Art Company, and Albercht Durer Prints Inc.; mural making by Atalyer Workshops; and arts and crafts demonstrations and lessons from The Artologist, Art Circle Gallery, and Crafty Me & More.

Fashionistas can find artsy shoe selections (with designs featuring their favorite books, cartoon characters and more) or even watch the customized shoe demonstrations from 2cor57. There are also calligraphy sessions by Calligraphy by Lisa; on-the-spot sketching by Masterpiece Gallery; origami demonstration by Bobbys Hobbys; wire sculpturing by Kish Javier; stone and tote bag painting by Art Boutique; and stamping by BicSpoke. 

Guests can also take a home a keepsake of their day by taking wacky photos at Art in Island’s awesome 3D art installations!
