Kiko Estrada and Kim Rodriguez Topbills GMA 7's new Teleserye My Mother's Secret

It's seldom that we see a perfect love team on screen and we can never really tell if they will click or not. For Kim Rodriguez and Kiko Estrada, being on a love team gives them more chance to showcase they craft and at the same time can be a stepping stone for them as they continue to reach for their dreams. Even so, both have proven that even without a love team, they can act and be known with their own names not because of a love team or because of their family background.
Kim Rodriguez got her first role at Tween Hearts and since then she's been blessed with continuous projects from Kapuso Network landing on the lead role like Kakambal ni Eliana, Paraiso Ko'y Ikaw, Strawberry Lane and now My Mother's Secret. It's no denying that they've seen a potential in her to be given such projects and with My Mother's Secret that airs on a pre-primetime slot, it's a huge challenge for her and Kiko to give their best.
Kim will play the role of Neri who will grow believing that Ms. Lotlot De Leon is her Mother.
Despite having a hard life, Neri grows up to be optimistic and hardworking. She works at an orphanage to support her studies as she pursues her dream of becoming an engineer.
According to Kim, her character here although a bit boyish like her role in Strawberry Lane, both characters were completely different.
Kiko Estrada on the other hand, got his gorgeous features from his parents who are also part of the showbiz industry: Gary Estrada and Cheska Diaz. He is the grandson of Filipino movie icons Paquito Diaz and George Estregan. It was not easy being part of a famous showbiz clan because he knew it will always be part of his introduction but then again, according to Kiko, he is proud of his family and their legend in the showbiz industry as well. He was part of Tweenhearts before then Strawberry Lane, Yagit and now My Mother's Secret.
Kiko will play the role of Craig. A rich bachelor who will fall in love to Neri and will do his best just to fight for his love for Neri even though there will be a lot of obstacles.
Just seeing this gorgeous love team made me a big fan already. They really look good together and even showed us how comfortable they work with each other even though Kiko admitted that he is indeed courting Kim right now. According to Kim, Kiko never fails in making her feel special and just the same she trusts him with almost everything. She shares
his problems with him, asks advice and even goes out sometimes watching movie with friends. They're so close that they even finish each other's sentences, that's how much they know each other which I find really cute and adorable.
Kim shared that Kiko was her crush before and for Kiko, he shared his experience that he also finds Kim very beautiful. GMA asked him who he wants to work with as a love team and he was given 3 choices, he picked Kim as her leading lady.
Right now, he said he is willing to wait until Kim will say the magical word to him, a sweet "Yes" but he understands that both of them needs to focus on work and their passion for their craft.

GMA 7 presents the drama series My Mother’s Secret. It showcases how a mother’s love for her child and a child’s love for her mother can overcome self-centeredness or ambition.
Helmed by director Neal del Rosario with Kenneth de Leon as head writer, Kim Rodriguez and Kiko Estrada will prove how exciting a pair they are. Making the series more powerful are convincing portrayals led by Christian Bautista, Lotlot de Leon and Gwen Zamora in their most stellar roles yet, plus performances by Shamaine Buencamino and Meryll Soriano. Completing the cast are Enzo Pineda, Diva Montelaba, Tricia Cabais, Joanna Marie Tan, Richard Quan, Mike Lloren, JM Katanyag, Frances Makill, Ervic Vejandre, with the special participation of Mark Herras.
Having the ambition of making it big as an actress, Vivian (Gwen) left her childhood sweetheart Anton (Christian) and pursues an acting career in the city. However, Vivian’s budding career ended abruptly when she learned that she was pregnant.
Not wanting to turn out like her sister, Stella (Meryll), who had kids while unable to take care of them, Vivian detested the idea of being a mother at a young age. She decided to hide her pregnancy and left her baby to Cora (Lotlot), the midwife who helped her give birth. But Vivian’s budding career was ended abruptly due to a scandal, and she returned to the province.
Despite having a fiancée, Anton, now a successful engineer and entrepreneur, still could not deny that he still loved Vivian. He forgave her; they got married; and after discovering that it would be difficult for her to bear children, they adopted Vivian’s niece.
They are living as a happy family when Anton was suddenly diagnosed with an illness. Desperately looking for a donor, Vivian sought out to Cora to look for her daughter. She then found out that Neri (Kim), Cora’s daughter, was the baby she gave up back then.
