Rita Daniela Releases Debut album under GMA Records

From Rita de Guzman to Rita Daniela, still the same person yes but even though she changed her name, she's still a total performer for me. I'm a big fan of Rita simply because she is very talented. She may be given only support roles but she does it really well and I hope someday she will be given lead roles because she is very versatile. She can do drama, comedy and much more. Now that she finally launched her debut album, I believe this is really her time to shine.
Not everyone knows that she can sing, really sing well. Rita admitted during her New album BlogCon that she've waited for this time and she believed that God has a perfect timing for everything like right now. She added that the wait if really worth it.
Rita, loves Rihanna and J.Lo, which is why she described her album as “edgy, fierce and mature.” The six-track album’s carrier single is “I’m Flying High.” We got the chance to hear her sing this live and I super love this track. You will definitely feel like partying. I actually love all the tracks in her album plus her revival of Janno Gibbs famous song "Fallin'" which is used in the top Koreanovela "Full Hose". According to her, Janno loved her rendition as well and she feel very flattered about it. Also part of the album is Ihip ng Hangin, used as Seasons of Love theme song.
The album also includes “Di Lang Ikaw,” which Rita wrote in 45 minutes. She writes songs whenever she feels inspired and most of her musical influences are Jaya, Regine Velasquez and of course her favorite Ms. Jolina Magdangal. In fact, she would love to invite them to her major concert in the future together with her long time crush Dennis Trillo.
A lot of people compare Rita to “Popstar Kids” runner-up Julie Anne San Jose who has flourishing music career. When asked if she feels jealous or envious that Julie Ann was launched ahead of her, she said, “No, kasi naniniwala ako sa right timing. Lahat ng tao may tamang panahon. Noong time na nanalo ako, panahon ko po iyon. Nu’ng nag-shine naman siya at nabigay sa kanya lahat, time niya po iyon.” She feels happy for Julie Anne's success and she wishes her well. She feel grateful to GMA Records, Artist Center and GMA Network for continuously giving her projects and for trusting her with this album.
Rita had a sexy pictorial for her album, if you'll check her album photos, she exudes boldness and sexiness that is really classy not trashy but she clarified that she will not pose for a men’s magazine.
“Para po sa akin, may sarili po akong definition ng sexy. Hindi naman kailangan magpakita ka ng skin (para maging sexy). It’s the way you handle ’yung sarili mo (that does it),” she said. This is perfect since she totally gives a mature yet sophisticated look on her album.
The album's digital format was initially released worldwide last April 12 and is available on OPM2GO, Deezer, iTunes and Amazon.
