The Breakup Playlist Opens July 1 in Cinemas Nationwide

This is one of my most awaited movie and pair up and I'm really excited to watch Sarah Geronimo and Piolo Pascual on the big screen because I can really see the spark and the chemistry as well. This is the first time they'll be working together on a romance-drama movie about musicians falling in and out of love.

According to Dan Villegas, the director of the film based on a script developed and co-written by Antoinette Jadaone (That Thing Called Tadhana), despite of the 11 year age difference, there's no denying about the chemistry of the two. Piolo said that working together on ASAP gave them much room to be comfortable with each other although Sarah mentioned that even so, it was really hard for her because she felt really intimated with Piolo, adding that he's the most sought after actor and with just a look in his eyes, she felt she would melt any time.
Both have wonderful adjectives to describe one another and one thing is for sure, this movie made them even more closer than before. Piolo said she admired Sarah even more and he added that he knows Sarah always gives her 100% in every work she does plus she respect her craft, she's simple and natural. On the other hand, Sarah admired how Piolo is very passionate with everything he does especially with acting and music. She learned a lot from him and wished that they could work or collaborate in an album soon.

The Breakup Playlist is a story about an aspiring professional singer and a rock singer who collaborates in a song. As they work on their song, they start to develop feelings for each other. Piolo plays the role of Gino while Sarah is Trixie.

Have you watched the trailer? Check out the “tagos-sa-puso” lines from the trailer, delivered by Gino (Piolo Pascual) and Trixie (Sarah Geronimo):

“Siya ang lucky charm ko. Mahal na mahal ko ‘to eh.” – Gino

“Ikaw ‘yung tipo ng babaeng pinapakasalan.” – Gino

“Sa dulo ng lahat ng ito, may nakikita ako. Hindi ikaw, hindi rin ako. Tayo.” – Trixie (reading what looks like Gino’s letter)

“Alam mo ba kung ga’no kahirap na nasa isang banda tayo, pero para sa lahat, ikaw ang magaling?” – Gino

“O sige ayoko na! I quit your band!” – Trixie
“Do me a favor. Umalis ka na rin sa buhay ko!” – Gino

“Ano’ng mahal pa rin kita? After three years, mahal mo pa rin ako? Do me a favor, ‘wag mo na ‘kong patayin ulit!” – Trixie
