Book and Borders Cafe: A Cozy Nook for Book & Coffee Lovers

Saturday, August 01, 2015

Newly opened Book and Borders Cafe is simply a haven at the heart of Quezon City.
If you love reading books while enjoying a cup of coffee like me, this place will surely melt your heart. It's one of my favorite past times especially when I needed a break from all the hustle and bustle of city life. Book and Borders Cafe will surely be one of the famous hangouts in the metro.

Once you step into their Cafe, the ambiance is truly cozy offering a not so dim lights so that you can still enjoy flipping the pages of your favorite book evenly distributed across the shelves. The wide array of books from fiction to non-fiction, cook books to kiddie books, Young Adult themes to general knowledge, everything's here. The charming colors of the seats plus the inviting books will surely make you stay for long period of time while enjoying their delicious food.

Located at 281 Tomas Morato, Quezon City, Book and Borders, unlike other crowded cafes where people are more engaged in chit chat, has purposely turned their space into something that is more relaxed and quiet. This is because the café encourages customers to go through their extensive selection of books, and take their time to hangout or read.

In fact, the café also makes book stands available for its customers, to make reading their chosen book, much easier. Check out the picture above on how you can freely borrow a book at the cafe.

Present during the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of Book and Borders Cafe were Celebrity stars Karylle and Benjamin Alves together with Ms. Mary Simisim and Ms. Nancy Go who are also proprietors of Chef Noodles Philippines.

Also present at the Grand Opening of Book and Borders Cafe were Beauty Queens Venus Raj and Ariela Arrida with Wyn Wyn Marquez who admitted that they're all book worm!

The café’s brand ambassadors, Karylle and Benjamin Alves are both book lovers, and represents what the café wants to promote very well; which is to encourage the habit of reading as well as indulging in one’s love for coffee.

The two self-confessed book lovers were present at the café’s grand opening last July 28, wherein guests were treated to the café’s bestsellers and were given the chance to enjoy the selection of books that are available.

Carrying the tagline, Read. Sip. Dine. Book & Borders is definitely a must-try not just for book lovers and coffee lovers but anyone who is looking for a nice place to hang out in the busy metro.

Complementing the nice ambiance and the library aspect of the café are delicious light fare and refreshing drinks.

Check out the delicious food that we tried at the grand opening:
Fried tuyo with Kesong Puti Pasta
 Truffle Mushroom (Fettuccini Pasta)
 Quatro Cheese
 Chicken Penne Pesto
 Iced Mocha
 Beef Pastrami
 Hot Chocolate
Smoked Turkey Ham Sandwich

All the food that we tried were superb for me and very tasty as well not bland. But the highlight of my day was the Fried Tuyo with Kesong Puti pasta, it was really delicious I recommend for you to try it. I've also checked the prices and surprisingly it's very affordable. Not only yuppies can enjoy the good food but also students who loves to read and hang out at a cozy place with their friends while enjoying good food, great WIFI connection and they also have electrical socket for you to charge your gadgets or laptops.

Aside from delicious muffins, breads, cupcakes, pies, tarts, squares, doughnuts, and cakes (Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake), Book and Borders also serves more filling menu options like rice meals and variations of pasta and sandwich. For drinks, there’s coffee of course, in a variety of options, as well as refreshing smoothies for hot days.

So, if you feel like you need to take a break, go to Book and Borders Cafe because here
you'll have a happy tummy and you'll get to read a good book as well.
