Caffe Bene Launches Lotus Biscoff Gelato and more!

Sunday, August 23, 2015

I'm a big fan of coffee and when it comes to coffee, I am very choosy with the aroma, the taste and mostly especially the location of the caffe. I'm not very fond of jam packed coffee shops filled with people talking loudly or laughing as if it's their last day on earth or as if there's a party going on. I'm love coffee shops who offer relaxation, a calm setting and more importantly, offers the best coffee and pastries.

During Caffe Bene's launch of their new product, Sir Myke Celis, Marketing Consultant of Caffe Bene introduced as to Caffe Bene and it's early beginings. Since this was my second time to attend their event, I'm familiar with Caffe Bene and to top it all, I work near the area which is why I'm a frequent customer of Caffe Bene.

It all began in April 2008 at Eastern Seoul where Caffe Bene's first-ever store was opened. Founded by Mr. Kim Sun-Kwon , who has been notable for his other successful franchise endeavours. Since then, Caffé Bene has grown to more than 800 stores making it the Largest and Fastest Growing coffee shop chain in Korea.

So how did they got the name "Caffe Bene". Bene means "good or well". The interior of the caffe is a combination of European with a touch of Korean feel. I love how they used wood and leather at the same time. Plus, even before some caffe in the metro introduced books as one of the best things that they can offer, Caffe Bene also offers books for those who loves reading while enjoying a cup of their favorite drink.

The friendly, warm and cozy ambiance of Caffe Bene is also a plus factor. I love the not so dim lights plus the privacy that they offer is a big factor to me. I can enjoy Caffe Bene's delicious food and coffee without being disturbed with loud music or rowdy customers.
You will truly have a wonderful coffee experience at Caffe Bene.

Caffe Bene offers wide variety of pastries, cakes, specialty drinks, frappes, signature mocktails,  coffee and the famous Korean dessert Bingsu.

Plus Caffe Bene also offers Gelato that are really to die for. I'm not a big fan of gelato but when I tasted Caffe Bene's gelato, now I know what the craze is all about.

Lotus Biscoff, a simple biscuit with a unique caramelized flavor, is the perfect accompaniment to every cup of coffee. This is the perfect reason why Caffe Bene partners with Lotus Biscoff.

The moment that we've been waiting for, the partnership of Lotus Biscoff and Caffe Bene is revealed. Ms. Emie San Beda, Product Manager of Lotus Biscoff introduced us to Lotus Biscoff and its humble beginnings.
The unique taste of Lotus Biscoff stems from the sugar’s caramelization during the baking process. And a hint of cinnamon and other spices add that special something. The unique recipe, which uses only the highest-qualityingredients, remains the same more than eight decades later since it was first baked in 1932 at a small town called Lembeke in Belgium.

The founders of Lotus Bakeries, the Boone brothers, would drive around town in their trademark red truck todeliver their prized biscuits door to door. Then in the 1950s, Lotus introduced the pairing of Lotus Biscoff with a fresh cup of coffee. This soon became part of the everyday Belgian routine in hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops
throughout the country.

The perfect pairing of Lotus Biscoff with a fresh cup of coffee spreads to neighboring
countries. Cafés throughout Europe starts serving fresh coffee with biscuits, and Lotus Biscoff becomes “Europe’s Favorite Cookie with Coffee.”

These European biscuits first made their way to America as in-flight treats. Starting in the 1980s, Lotus Biscofftreats have been paired with mid-air morning coffee in flights throughout the United States. Frequent fliers took note of the unique taste and special magic of Lotus Biscoff and coffee, and today’s passengers still continue to discover Lotus Biscoff in several international airlines. With millions of Lotus Biscoff sampled annually in-flight, it
comes as no surprise that Lotus Biscoff is also known as “The Airline Cookie.”

Delectably crunchy, with a caramelized flavor, Lotus Biscoff is made with:
No artificial color or preservatives, 0 grams trans-fat per serving and 0 cholesterol,
Non-GMO ingredients, No nuts and No animal by-products. This is the perfect reasons why Caffe Bene and Lotus Biscoff is a perfect match.

Not only that, Caffe Bene offers Lotus Biscoff Gelato and I'm one of the lucky Bloggers who got the chance to taste it and it is really delicious! Definitely a must try! It's not so sweet yet not bland as well. Just the perfect taste of Lotus Biscoff in a gelato that we all love.
I recommend for you to try it!

Your coffee can very well be paired with any of these delicious waffles from Caffe Bene as well. Like their Strawberry cream waffle, Caramel banana waffle, Blueberry cream cheese waffle and the classic waffle.

If you're a big fan of Caffe Bene then you might as well be a collector of their nice mugs, tumblers and tea cups.

Just recently, Spot.ph featured Caffe Bene's White Mocha Frappe as one of their Top 10 Frozen Coffee Blends in the Metro and seriously, this is a big compliment. I, for one also loves their White Mocha Frappe. It's a combination of white chocolate with espresso coffee blend.

Thank you so much Caffe Bene for having us! This is a group picture together with
Bloggers and Sir Derrick Chua of Caffe Bene Philippines who welcomed us once again with open arms. It was indeed another fun experience with good food, raffles and surprises!
