PLAYLIST UNPLUGGED: Kapuso Acoustic Night

Last August 6, GMA Network held an intimate acoustic night with the Bloggers together with GMA Network's finest artists. This is actually one of the fun events that I look forward to with GMA Network, the event is PLAYLIST: UNPLUGGED. Aside from live performances from the selected artists, there was also a mini raffle!
Again, kudos to the entire GMA Network social media team because they really did a magnificent effort on this one. I super love the location which is at Big Bad Wolf, cozy and perfect for an acoustic night, minus the lights though but nevertheless it was superb
even the food was delicious.
The first performance came from the TO THE TOP boys. TO THE TOP is the first ever multi-platform boy band competition in the Philippines. Spearheaded by the GMA Public Affairs Department. the show documents the journey of young male vocalists from being solo artists in their schools, organizations and communities, to striving to be part of GMA Network's first ever boy band.
That night, Martin De Vera, Mico Cruz, Seph Manlapaz, Miko Manguba, Joshua Jacobe and Cholo Dela Cruz performed. In between their performance, we got the chance to ask them some question like if ever what would they choose, love or career and the boys had a different take on this but most of them wanted to focus more on their career right now. As to how they'll be able to compete with the other boys in the competition, they said they just wanted to give their best shot and follow their dreams. They explained that each of them has a weakness and they also understand that as days pass by they will improve more.
There was also a revelation, Martin De Vera admitted that he has a crush on Louise Delos Reyes and he's been a big fan of her as well.

The next performer was the very talented Nar Cabico
Nar Cabico is a theater actor, musician and song writer. He gained recognition for his role as Senor Blanco in the original Filipino musical "Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady".
He is currently part of the newest teleserye of GMA Network Beautiful Strangers
as Shakira/Rodolfo.
Next is Mikoy Morales. He is a very talented singer song writer and I admire his passion for music. He finished 2 runs of Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady. He is also the composer of the song "Pwede Ba?" by 3LOGY, which is currently used in the Koreanovela "Pinocchio". He produced a concert entitled "Mood Swings: The Music of Maestro Vincent de Jesus" under SPARC Productions last June and July in Teatrino Promenade Greenhills. But even though he is busy with music, he's also studying in MINT College.
Thea Tolentino is also present to support Mikoy that night. She is part of the hit GMA Telebabad "The Half Sisters" opposite Barbie Forteza.
Kai Atienza also performed that night and she really have a powerful voice. She's a finalist of Bet ng Bayan, a marine biologist, singer/songwriter, an advocate of marine life and became part of The Rich Man's Daughter too.
Grand winner of Bet ng Bayan Hannah Precillas also performed that night. She is also the voice behind Once Upon a Kiss theme song and the singer of the upcoming and most waited teleserye via GMA Network "Marimar".
Ralf King is currently part of a musical play under Kids Act Philippines entitled, "Beauty and the Beast" as Prince Arnold. He is a regular performer in Walang Tulugan with Master Showman and also balances his time with his studies since he is currently enrolled at Colegio de San Lorenzo in Quezon City.
Dion Ignacio also performed that night and aside from being busy with his acting skills, he is also into singing together with his band. Currently, Dion will be part of Marimar which will air this August via GMA Primetime. He will be working side by side with Megan Young as Marimar and Tom Rodriguez as Sergio.
James Wright is best known as the GMA Pop Heartthrob. He is the voice behind the hit GMA Telebabad official theme song for Carmela and My Destiny which is why he is dubbed as the GMA Prince of Teleserye Theme Songs. His self titled album is now officially a gold record and still available in all record bars nationwide under GMA Records.
GMA Artist Center star Rita Daniela launched her self-titled album last April 20, at the GMA Network Center Executive Lounge. The sweet and charming singer-turned TV/Film actress is now ready to conquer the stage as a fierce and matured performer.
RITA DANIELA is an extended play (EP) that contains 6 songs including her carrier single entitled "I'm Flying High", as well as the backing tracks (or minus one) of these songs. She recently finished filming the carrier single's music video, which will be available for viewing in the coming weeks.
Track list includes Fallin', a revival of Janno Gibbs' version, Ihip ng Hangin, used as Seasons of Love theme song, and Di Lang Ikaw, which is an original composition of Rita with her vocals used as back up.
The album's digital format was initially released worldwide last April 12, and is available on OPM2GO, Deezer, iTunes, and Amazon.
Her single "Hahanap Hanapin Ka", theme song for GMA's new primetime program "My Faithful Husband", will soon have a music video.
