Boy Abunda Joins Pagkaing Good for Every-All - Goodah!!!

I'm a big fan of Goodah!!! and for years, me and my family or friends would drop by at any Goodah branch near us at any given time just to satisfy our cravings for their famous Tapsilog or Goto. This is also a staple order for most of the Filipinos because it's one of our comfort food especially during rainy season. Goodah!!! also gave the term "Tapsi" for the famous combination of Tapa and Sinangag, the addition of egg to a rice meal is now the famous Tapsilog that we really love.

GoodAh!!! was a concept ahead of its time in the local dining industry when it opened 33 years ago. In fact, its tagline “Open 25 hours” is an assurance that people from all walks of life, from office workers to jeepney drivers, had a place to go to no matter the time of day or night for their fix of lugaw and goto, and popular breakfast fare, namely tapa, tocino and longanisa.

Through the years, its menu expanded to include a variety of Filipino favorites that are now staples in eateries and restaurants throughout the country. Aside from tapsilog, there is tosilog, longsilog, adsilog (adobo, sinangag at itlog), and bangsilog
 (daingnabangus, sinangag atitlog).

That's why it's no surprise that Television superstar Mr. Boy Abunda grabbed the opportunity to be a business partner of Goodah!! and at the same time be the brand ambassador as well.

The host together with Boy Abunda and the Yang Brothers

When the Yang brothers invited Boy to become their brand ambassador as well as business partner, he did not hesitate in accepting the proposal. “I’m now one of the brand’s seven business partners. We have looked at the possibilities of opening in the suburbs but encountered problems with the commissary. Perhaps that aspect has to be handled by a different supplier,” Boy continued.

Boy recalled that when we still starting in the showbiz industry in the 1980's, he was a regular customer of Goodah!!! He added that he loves the 25-hour fast service of Goodah!!! where his favorites include congee and rice meals, especially when you're on the go.
. In a way, it was his life coming full circle: from regular customer to business partner at the restaurant he loved.

Boy’s favorite at GoodAh!!! has always been its bistek, the favorite Pinoy dish of stir-fried tender beef marinated in soy sauce and citrus. During the Grand launch held at Goodah!!! branch in Metrowalk, Boy Abunda demonstated how he cooks Bistek to the press.

Boy, who knows his way around the kitchen, has his own recipe for bistek that he shared with GoodAh!!!. In fact, the restaurant has adopted Boy’s version of bistek for its restaurants and is renaming it as GoodAh!!! Boy’s Bistek in his honor.

After 33 years, GoodAh!!! is set to redefine the restaurant landscape with its patented brand of quick meals and personalized service with a casual dining ambience. It is a dining institution that today’s millennials will surely embrace with its delicious value-for-money meals, just as many Pinoy food lovers have in the past.

Check out some of my favorite dishes at Goodah!!!
 Chicken Mami
 Ribsilog
Shangsilog
 Beef Mami
Goto Special

Boy's Bistek
Leche Flan

Goodah!!! is the perfect place if you're in for a very Filipino breakfast: silog meals, pares, mami, goto.  They also have Pinoy desserts and drinks such as sago't gulaman and more.
They've been around for as long as I can remember, and I don't think they have a dish I have never tried before. One of their selling points is being open for "25 hours", and I don't think they ever failed that promise. Plus, food-wise, their menu offers really affordable prices, you can never go wrong with each meal. It's a place for every Juan.

One of my ultimate favorite is their Goto special, definitely on top of my list when it comes to comfort food and their Boy's Bistek is really delicious! It reminds me of my Lola's Bistek Tagalog.

Allow me to post my picture with the King of Talk Mr. Boy Abunda. It has been my dream to take a photo op with him because he is one of my mentor when it comes to writing. Congrats on your new venture Sir!
