If you love Vampire type of movies and series, then you'll definitely enjoy Regal Films' latest movie "Resureksyon". A horror-suspense themed movie that will take you at the edge of your seats.

Resureksyon is created of state-of-the-art special effects and sound made even more exciting by the unique execution of thrilling scenes that are sure to send chills down audiences’ spine. I experienced it first hand when we watched during the Premiere Night of Resureksyon at Gateway Cineplex.

The event was graced by the cast namely Isabelle Daza, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and more!

Regal is known for creating horror movies and for years and they've introduced us to different kinds of aswang, laman lupa and more that really scared us to the point of not getting enough sleep after watching their movie.

The company holds the distinction of producing the longest-running and most successful horror film franchise, Shake, Rattle & Roll, in local film history. They have also released other horror blockbusters like Tiyanak and Manananggal In The City.

Resureksyon tells the story of Mara (Isabelle Daza), an OFW who will die a mysterious
death while abroad.

Aila (Jasmine Curtis-Smith) frowns at the thought of her sister leaving the country but is later convinced that it’s Mara’s way of giving her only son (played by Raikko Matteo as Migs) a better future.

When her corpse up is brought home for burial, strange deaths will grip their hometown. Mara, apparently, has risen as a vampire.

Terror grips the entire town when Mara returns from death and vampires begin to roam streets and pry on the townsfolk.

It was then that Aila realizes that her sister wants to be reunited with son Migs.

With the help of police officer Javier (Paulo Avelino), authorities deal with Mara and her band of vampires to save Aila and Migs from harm.

Isabelle Daza is excited how audiences would take to the film. She shared how cast and crew worked hard to make a satisfyingly scary movie that they hope would be an instant classic.

Daza is not new to doing horror movies, having appeared prior on “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles.” But she maintained that “Resureksyon” is a whole new experience altogether.
Resureksyon was directed by Borgy Torre. His directorial debut was "Kabisera" which was recognized at the Cinemas One Festival where he received his first best director award.

Also starring in the movie are  John Lapus, Alex Castro and Niño Muhlach.

Produced by Regal Entertainment, Inc. and Reality Entertainment, Inc.,
“Resureksyon” now showing in cinemas nationwide!
