Bubble Gang Celebrates 20 years of Giving Fun & Laughter to Filipino Viewers

The longest running and multi-awarded comedy-gag show of GMA Network "Buble Gang" will be celebrating their 20th year in the industry. For 20 years, they have started a lot of comedy trends making a lot of Filipino viewers forget about their problems and struggles in life and just laugh it all away.
We got the chance to interview Betong and Arny Ross who are also part of Bubble Gang.
Betong have been part of Bubble Gang for 5 years now, after winning Survivor Philippines Edition, Betong said he feels grateful that he became part of Bubble Gang, there was even a part of his life where he was reminiscing the days that he was watching Bubble Gang as a viewer and now, he is part of Bubble Gang. Betong added that working with Ogie Alcasid and Michael V. gave him a lot of insights about comedy and he really learned a lot. He said that at the time he first started at Bubble Gang, he was welcomed with open arms. He was all praises to Michael V. because he is very professional and passionate in his craft.
Betong said his most memorable and remarkable role is Antoinietta. He was nominated and got the chance to travel outside the country because of this role and many people know him as Antonietta. The role allows him to share scenes with more veterans like Chanda Romero, Roi Vinzon, Jaclyn Jose, and Celia Rodriguez. “I get to work with (them) and parang oh my, napapanood mo lang sila eh. Mga bigatin (sila, so) parang naku po, ang dami ko pang kanin na kakainin para maabot yung estado nila,” he humbly said. He added that he doesn't mind being slapped by this award winning actors simply because it's also a privilege to work with them, not many got the chance to do so.
Instead of being intimidated with them, he always tells himself that he needs to do good every other episode because many people are looking forward to watch this role.

Arny Ross on the other hand is a recent addition to the Bubble Gang family. She is part of the sexy and beautiful ladies "Bubble Shaker". The members are Sam Pinto, Andrea Torres and Max Collins. Arny said working with the top comedians in the industry gave a humbling experience and challenged her to give her best. Arny said that Michael V. is one of the nicest actor she've met and he always makes it a point that all the cast of Bubble Gang gets this chance to bond even if they're all busy. Arny said she gained a lot of friends because of Bubble Gang and she is thankful for the opportunity to be part of the longest running Comedy Show.
To celebrate the Bubble Gang’s 20th year, a special episode is what is in store for “Bubble Gang” fans. A documentary made by GMA News and Public Affairs, tracing the history of “Bubble Gang,” will feature interviews with cast members (both old and new) as well as production staff and TV executives who became part of the show – will be aired on November 27. Also to be launched on the same day is a coffee table book on the longest-running gag show on Philippine TV.
In Bubble Gang’s 20 years on television, they have gone through many challenges. They have learned many lessons. They've keep up with the latest trends up to the point of trending in the social media as well. There is no stopping them from serving fun and laughter for the next 20 years or more.
