Bakit Manipis ang Ulap Premieres February 15 via TV5 Starring Claudine Barretto, Cesar Montano, Diether Ocampo & Meg Imperial

Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap? is a 1985 film written and directed by Danny Zialcita. The movie, which starred Chanda Romero, Laurice Guillen, Tommy Abuel, Mark Gil and Janice de Belen, will be revived as a primetime teledrama by VIVA for TV5, set to begin next month.
The new series is the latest to be launched by TV5, after Born To Be A Star and Tasya Fantasya.
A story of romance, intrigue and betrayal in a family, the series will be top-billed by Optimum Star Claudine Barretto, Ruffa Gutierrez, Diether Ocampo, Dindi Gallardo, Samantha Lopez, Bernard Palanca, Meg Imperial and Cesar Montano. The director is multi-awarded filmmaker Joel C. Lamangan. When the official teaser was launched mostof the people got really excited to see the Optimum Star Ms. Claudine Barretto finally coming back doing teseryes because a lot of people really missed watching her. It is remarkable that after 5 years, we can finally see her big comeback. Claudine said in an interview during the Grand Press Conference, “I’ve been in the industry for 24 years—I was 11 when I started in theater with Repertory Philippines. Bata pa lang ako gusto ko na talaga mag-artista and I’m really grateful na lahat naman ng pinangarap ko na abot ko. Pero I can say na teleserye talaga ang forte ko at kahit noon minsan-minsan lang ako sa pelikula,”
Cesar Montano on the other hand is back after controversies he experienced with his family.
He said he feels really privileged as well to work with Caludine Barretto because it has been a dream for him to work with her. This was also said by Claudine and as for working again with Diether Ocampo, she missed working with him, they've been good friends for years now and she feels very comfortable working with Diet.
Joel Lamangan, director of the TV version which premieres on Feb. 15, said that Zialcita’s witty dialogue will be retained, but new characters have been added since the soap will run for weeks.
“The soap does not last for only two hours like the movie,” explained Joel, “ang soap ay pangmatagalan,” so twists and turns are added to the original story of “romance, intrigue and betrayal in a family
Bakit Manipis ang Ulap is set to be the biggest teledrama of 2016 with all of the brightest stars pilled in one soap. Don't miss the grand premiere on February 15 via Kapatid Network TV5.
