Everything About Her: Direk Bb. Joyce Bernal Tells All about the Movie

It was not my first time to meet the acclaimed Director Binibining Joyce Bernal, in fact, the first time I meet during a Blogger's Conference before, I was really star struck that I really intend to take a photo op with her, wish granted because she is really nice and very accommodating. I always enjoy our intimate talks with Direk Joyce because she is very spontaneous. She will tell you point blank what she feels about the certain topic without any reservation, this is probably one of the reasons why everyone respects her.
Star Cinema welcomes 2016 with a movie that will surely soften your heart and make you appreciate your family especially your Mom even more. With stars like award winning actress Gov. Vilma Santos, Ms. Angel Locsin and Xian Lim.
According to Direk Joyce, it was hard for her during the first shoot of the movie to make Gov. Vilma portray a "monster" Boss because she will be portraying a CEO of a big company. "Nung nakilala ko siya (Vilma) namroblema ako kasi mabait siyang tao eh. Sabi ko pa'no kita gagawing monster? Kasi she's super concerned to everyone. Kasi 'di ba 'yung pagiging masama nasa tao na talaga 'yun. 'Pag masama ka, masama ka," Direk Joyce narrated that, "'Yung pagkasungit ni Ate Vi ginawan namin ng backstory. Binuo namin with Ate Vi herself," she said. "Binigyan ko siya ng 'impakta' look. 'Yung 'wag ka magsasalita kasi kakainin kita nang buhay. 'Yung mga mannerisms, sarcastic remarks."
During the interview, Direk Joyce was asked what kind of environment she usually like when she is working and she said, "Kailangan ko yung set namin very casual, masaya, mataas yung energ, maharot kasi I want energy and good vibes, kasi diba pag masaya ka, binibigay mo lahat eh." She also said that she is also different when is is mad, "Taurus kasi ako kaya pag galit ako, galit talaga ako and totally kakalimutan kita as if di ka naging part ng buhay ko, ganun, invisible ka sa akin pag galit ako sayo."
Direk Joyce said that both Xian and Angel gave their very best to this movie and she added that she asked Gov. Vi and Angel not to mingle around when they're not shooting so that they won't feel that casual or close when they finally roll the camera because it might affect how they portray their roles knowing that they are really close in life because of Luis Manzano. Speaking of Luis, Direk said that he would visit the set from time to time too.
Direk added that Xian and Angel's partnership in the movie is something new to look forward to, although people might want to focus more on the whole story of the movie.
