SPACE EDSA: Redefining Dormitory Living

Saturday, February 13, 2016

I can still remember back in my college days, since I live in Antipolo Rizal and I studied at P.U.P. Sta. Mesa, my travel back and forth to school would consume most of my time, imagine how drained I was every time I got to school and when I got back home. It's physically and mentally draining. Even when I got the chance to work, going to work from Rizal to Quezon City is another battle I also need to face in order to earn money.

When you spend most of your time doing work - whether it's in school or the office, the best reward waiting for you at the end of the day is a space you can call home. Unfortunately, nowadays, "home" means braving the rush hour and sitting for another 3 hours stuck in a traffic jam. Luckily for Pinoys, a convenient and affordable living solution awaits this 2016.

Built with the young, energetic and dynamic lifestyles of students and office workers in mind, Space EDSA is designed to help as much Filipinos to have the privilege to enjoy taking one ride or walk to work. The idea is to allow each Spacer to live near where they want to be.

"Here at Space EDSA, we understand the hassle of long and tiring commutes, especially after a whole day spent in school or the office. So, we want to provide Filipinos a space that they can call home but does not require them a time-consuming travel," says Quinto Oreta, President.

Lovin' the design! It's really refreshing in the eyes.

This redefined dormitory living is located at 167 EDSA Mandaluyong City, at the third floor of Major Homes' headquarters. At the moment, it has air-conditioned rooms for 4, 6, and 8 people priced at Php4,200/month for each bed. Spacers can also enjoy the free use of common kitchenette, living and dining areas, free use of the gym 24/7, as well as electricity and water.

Aside from these, anyone can easily develop a sense of community and family among its Spacers with comfortable areas that one can share and enjoy round the clock.

"Ultimately, we want our Spacers to feel that they are living the life that they have always wanted to live," adds Angela Manese, General Manager.

While touring the area, I realized that if I were still studying I would truly consider this set up and would enjoy a lot of free time and hassle free travel to school or even at work because of what SPACE EDSA is offering. Not only am I saving time but I can also save money especially if my school or work is just near Space Edsa. Battling traffic everyday or even MRT is just one of the stress we don't need in our life. This is the perfect solution to ease away those horror travel stories going to work or school.
