Aljur Abrenica is Back with 4 Movies, PUMA Endorsement & a New Single Mahal Pa Rin Kita

Aljur Abrenica is definitely back and in full swing as well. He is doing a lot of projects lately which is a good thing because his fans really missed him. Aljur started out in showbiz after his great performance in Starstruck where he won.
Since then, he has been one of the most sought after leading man who tackles different roles and has shown versatility through acting both in comedy and drama. Apart from his acting skills, he also has a golden voice which leads him on having two recording albums.
His first project was Dangwa, a teleserye via GMA Network where he was also paired with Janine Gutierrez. But his biggest project so far is doing a one of a bio-ipic and historical film "Hermano Puli". It was supposed to be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 but was pulled out last minute.
Another historical film is set to make its mark into the consciousness of Filipino moviegoers.
Aljur Abrenica plays the role of “Hermano Puli,” a Filipino hero from Lucban, Quezon who was the first to lead a revolt against the Spaniards in a bid to gain religious independence.
Directed by Gil Portes, Hermano Puli stars Louise Delos Reyes, Enzo Pineda, Menggie Cubarrubias, Kristoffer Martin, Arnold Reyes, Markki Stroem,Simon Ibarra, Vin Abrenica, Allen Abrenica, Sue Prado, Kiko Matos, Stella Canete, Diva Montelaba, Abel Estanislao, and Alvin Fortuna.
According to Aljur, Hermano Puli is one project that he really treasured because he gave all his heart into it. He did a lot of research for this project because according to him, only few people know about the life of Hermano Puli. His research was not limited online and in books, he also went all the way to Quezon and did physical research on how he lived.
Based on the trailer, I love the cinematography of the film and how serious and passionate Aljur is on his role. This is definitely a movie I don't want to miss after Heneral Luna.
Aljur also has 3 indie movies: EDSA, Expressway and Mabalasik. Aljur said he's been very interested in the past to do an indie movie and this is his chance to try out what indie films has to offer. With EDSA, he is reunited again with Kris Bernal. This movie is set to be shown in different school for educational purposes. Released just in time for the 30th celebration of EDSA. The movie evolves around 6 lives that will intertwined because of EDSA.
With Mabalasik, Aljur plays the role of a thief named "Elias Obrero". He is with Rocco Nacino with this movie. Mabalasik is story about a newlywed cop that hunts down a predator thief for the murder of his godfather throughout the streets of Manila, an island province, and into the clutches of an ominous jungle ruled by a vicious tribe that turn both hunter and hunted into prey". Mabalasik is also directed by Ato Bautista.
Lastly, Another challenging role he did was a role of a hitman who kills corrupts officials. Expressway has made the netizens really interested with the film right after the trailer was shown because is also showcases Aljur ina very intimate scene with a girl. The girl is a theater actress. Aljur said that this movie challenged him because not only is the role very realistic but he also immerse with a real hitman. He got the chance to have a one on one interview how he does it, why he does it and do these deeds even have a redeeming factor. All of these questions will be answered once you watch the movie which will be shown on April 21.
Aljur Abrenica became a brand ambassador for Puma Philippines as he signed a contract with its AVP for Sales & Marketing Theresa Santos and GMA Artist Center Branding & Marketing Manager Anne Puno. Aljur will become PUMA Philippines' ambassador for Men's Training as he continues to inspire others to stay fit and train hard.
PUMA Philippines is set to launch a campaign specifically on Running and Training category wherein Aljur will be taking a big part. According to Aljur, he has been a big fan of PUMA every since he was still in high school when he was also an athlete for the school and would want to have a PUMA shoes before. Up to now, he said it never failed him in his outdoor/sport activities. He added why he loves PUMA simply because it is comfortable, durable and stylish. He expresses his gratitude to the brand and management for choosing him to represent the brand. He is looking forward to a long term relationship with PUMA.
