Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako starring Michael Pangilinan & Edgar Allan Guzman Showing on June 8 Nationwide!

Finally got the chance to watch the much talked-about movie of the year "Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako". Special thanks to Viva Entertainment, Mr. Jobert Sucaldito and Mr. Rk Villacorta for inviting me at the grand red carpet premiere of the movie that happened at SM Megamall together with the cast of the movie.

Present during the red carpet premiere were the stars of the movie Michael Pangilinan in his debut film together with Edgar Allan Guzman plus Katrina Legaspi and Hashtag Nikko.

Both Michael and Edgar who played Mark and Red respectively thanked the fans who went all the way to SM Megamall just to watch the film and also invited them to
 support the movie.

The movie was created because of the song Direk Joven Tan wrote which is also an entry in the 2014 Himig Handog Love Song Competition then now it's in the big screen.

This is not the first time Edgar is playing a gay role (he already portrayed a similar role a few times on TV, most of them were very open and very gay to the least), but this is the first time he’s playing a closet gay.

For me, I felt the highlight of the movie was when Mark (Edgar) revealed to his friend Red (Michael) that he is in love with him. That scene was really hard and I can really feel the emotions of the characters involved in that scene. Kudos to EA and Michael for portraying their roles really well because I really didn't expect that this movie was good enough but after watching it, it was really enough for me to watch it again with my friends because it was superbly written and very realistic, this really happens and I know there would be a lot of people who can relate to this movie.

I've watched different gay themed films in the past since I also have a lot of gay friends and the ending is either tragic like with Brokeback Mountain or horrific gay movie that will just make the LGBT a laughing stock. Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako is a combination of a love story and a feel good movie that will make you feel that you are not alone, there are people out there who experiences the same thing, being friend-zoned whether you're gay or not. The only difference is how you will handle the situation and in Mark and Red's situation which is actually really hard since they've been friends since they were kids, it's a big risk for Mark to reveal his feelings because he doesn't know what the outcome will be: Will he gain a friend and a lover at the same time? or will he lose the only great friend and love of his life all at the same time?

Direk Joven came up with an entertaining movie that touches the heart and one that many gays will be able to relate to because of its story. Once upon a time, in a gay’s life, he fell in love with his best friend but was afraid to reveal his true feelings for fear of losing the friendship.

Plus, I really love the addition of Joross Gamboa and Mark Evans, they made the movie really worth watching as well, they're so funny that their lines seems like it was really for real, their bantering make it more natural and believable that they're all actually gret friends and that they're all comfortable with each other.

Superstar Ms. Nora Aunor was also present in the movie together with Ms. Ana Capri who also have an important role in the movie.

We also got the chance to interview Michael Pangilinan during the grand premiere of Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako and also present that night is his current girlfriend Garie Concepcion (daughter of Gabby Concepcion and Grace Ibuna). According to Michael, he still feels overwhelmed that his very first movie is now showing in the cinemas and not just limited cinemas but a lot of cinemas in Metro Manila. He added that he is also thankful to his co-actor Edgar Allan for supporting him and helping him out in the scenes because this is a first to him and knowing the EA has done several acting stints, he gave him all the support he needs together with Direk Joven as well.

Congrats to Micahel Pangilinan and Edgar Allan Guzman for this movie Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako.  This is actually a timely movie since it also tells us that LOVE has no boundaries, love has no gender and there is equality, who are we to judge.
