Cazuela Spanish Colonial Cuisine: Superb Dining Experience!

Thursday, July 28, 2016

Food is as integral to Spain as its rich history, with each of Spain's regions home to a range of unique cuisines and flavors. It's no wonder that our country, Philippines also got the same love for Food the way they do since we also have the spices they use when it comes to our dishes and most our dishes our inspired by Spanish Cuisine.

One of the latest additions to Manila’s restaurant scene, Cazuela specializes in traditional Spanish Colonial cuisine so guests can enjoy the full Spanish dining experience.  Situated at the heart of Oritgas, Ground floor of Sapphire Bloc, Cazuela is a lovely spot with a great selection of wines, Sangria and amazing food.

Chefs Mon Urbano and Day Salonga had a similar idea for their newly-opened Cazuela restaurant. “We want our diners to experience the flavors of the different countries colonized by Spain. We aim to go beyond traditional Spanish fare and want to showcase dishes created because ofthe Spanish galleon trade,” says Chef Day.

Cazuela is a clay pot used in cooking, it serves as a vessel for combining ingredients to make sumptuous dishes.

Once you get inside, you will surely love the interior design of Cazuela.
The Main feature of wood, black, white and orange adds a chic yet contemporary feel of the restaurant. The ambiance will make you appreciate more the Spanish Colonial Cusine that they offer.
The place is very instagrammable that's why we didn't up pass the opportunity of taking photo ops while inside Cazuela but wait till you try their dishes.

Every meal can have an alcoholic accompaniment – coffee and whisky in the morning or after meals, or any combination of beer, wine or cava for morning break, lunch or dinner. Which is why a Sangria is a must-try when you dine at Cazuela.

Those who are always on the lookout for special deals will appreciate Cazuela’s P799 Wine-All-You-Can promo, which runs every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00pm to 12:00 midnight. Sangria lovers should drop by every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9:00pm to 12:00 midnight to get 50% off their  2nd pitcher.

All the food that they served that day were not just eye candy but deliciously satisfying.
The best part is that everything is reasonably proportioned so you can order different varieties and have a taste of everything plus they really offer an affordable menu, fit for your budget while you dine in style.

My ultimate favorites were Gambas al ajillo since I love shrimps, then there's the mouth watering Costillas Asadas and Veel Caldereta. Every dish is good for sharing but when it comes to dessert, I don't think I want to share it with anyone because I want the whole order for myself especially their Kesong Puti Cheesecake, I super love the velvety base up to its solid tasty crust. The distinct of kesong puti and meringue on
top is just perfect.

Cazuela definitely knows how a Spanish Colonial Cuisine should be, putting together flavors everybody loves and presenting them in a way that will make your moth water beyond your control and will make you visit more than occasionally. It's a good stop for those who work around the area or for those who lives near the area as well.

Thank you so much Cazuela for having us! Till my next visit!
