That Thing Called Tanga Na Showing on August 10 under Regal Films

Have you ever called yourself "tanga" after going through a worst experience on your love life? Then this upcoming movie of Regal Films is created just for you. 

“That Thing Called Tanga Na,” tells the story of a group of gay friends who have done everything for love, cast members Kean Cipriano, Angeline Quinto, Billy Crawford and Martin Escudero,  admitted they experienced this once or twice. 

Some of the cast were present during the Bloggers Conference of Regal Films newest movie That Thing Called Tanga: Lawrence Yap, Paolo Gumabao, Angeline Quinto, Billy Crawford and Kean Cipriano.

The cast said that this is a feel good movie that will make you laugh and even understand more the gay community. The cast expressed support and respect for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, even sharing some of their experiences about how they love the gay community since they also have good friends who are loud and proud. 
Billy added that during his stay in Queens, New York, he had this experience of how some people were extreme homophobics there and he explained how they should be treated, like equal humans because we are all humans anyway. 

Even Mother Lily pointed out majority of the production staff in the local entertainment industry including managers, stylists, even some actors belongs to the LGBT community. Without the LGBT Community, Regal Films will not be staying this long in the industry which is why she loves the LGBT community that much.

Kean added, “Mapipilay ang industriyang ito kapag wala sila. They are creative, compassionate people and malalapitan mo sila kapag may kailangan ka.”

Angeline attested to this, recalling how openly gay comedian Vice Ganda helped her move on from heartbreak two years ago.

“Problemado ako sa love life ko at wala akong ibang alam kung sino ang pagsasabihan ko. Ayun, nagpunta siya sa condo at mga three hours kami magkausap,” she said.

The cast even shared their favorite beki words to the point of sharing how much they enjoyed dubbing the movie because of these moments. 

In the film, Eric plays a rich gay, Billy Crawford a closeted gay, Kean a possessive gay, and Martin, the most beautiful of them all. Angeline? She’s the group’s “babaeng bakla.”

Others in the cast are Albie Casiño, Nikki Valdez, Jerald Napoles, Vangie Labalan, Ken Alfonso, Luke Conde, Paolo Gumabao, Shine Kuk and Lawrence Yap. 

“That Thing Called Tanga Na” opens in cinemas nationwide on Aug. 10.
