Sambo Kojin Korean & Japanese Buffet Restaurant Opens 6th Branch at SM City Fairview

Filipinos love eating at buffet restaurants. I for one, I love eating with my family or friends for a number of reasons like the wide array of choices, then we also like eating heavy meals, it's definitely much cheaper than eating at any fine dining restaurants and it is perfect to for group of people since we just love to EAT, plain and simple.

In Japanese mythology, Sambo Kojin is the six-armed deity who bestowed fire upon mankind to drive away impurity and evil. The fire god is also the guardian of the stove, who ensures the blessings of a good meal. Here in the Philippines, the name Sambo Kojin doesn’t stray far, and has become synonymous with the finest Japanese and Korean dishes cooked in authentic yakiniku style which give guests the ultimate dining experience.

Thankfully, one of my favorite Buffet Restaurant opened their 6th branch at SM City Fairview. They opened with a bang because on their very first day, as early as 9 in the morning people were lining up outside the mall waiting to get inside and get a taste of what they have to offer. Some of them are a big fan of Sambokojin and were very happy that they finally opened another branch in the north area.

With the opening of the Master of Buffet Cuisine’s latest branch at the G/F Annex 2 of SM Fairview, Sambo Kojin fires up with even more mouthwatering treats for everyone’s tastes as it takes friends and families to unforgettable culinary journeys in Korea and Japan with its premium and featured items.

You will surely love the modern interior of Sambokojin SM Fairview branch. Simple yet very elegant and you will surely feel at ease while eating their sumptuous dishes because the lighting as well makes your dining experience much more delightful. The chair are very comfortable as well plus they make it sure that group of four or six people or more can fit into the table without any hassle.

With this new branch, more Filipinos will get to savor the goodness of the restaurant’s top grade US beef and premium seafood items  along with its complete lineup of Japanese and Korean specialties. Among Sambo Kojin’s signature offerings are the US marbled and tender beef -– all spiced and sauced – prepared for grilling.

Delicious dining choices from Japan abound with tempura, katsu, furai, sukiyaki, and takoyaki while Korean favorites such as bibimbap, chapchae, pajeon, and yongnyam dalg jin (Korean fried chicken) also take center stage.

Now, let's check out the dishes:
Drinks are already inclusive when you dine at Sambokojin and you can choose any drink or fruit shake that you want. I love the watermelon shake and the lemonade,

I really enjoyed the wide array of food selection at Sambokojin, there's always that station that will make you coming back and craving for more. I can't think of any dish that I didn't like because I really love them all especially the pork belly and the steak since it is really tender and crunchy, you will know that they used only the freshest ingredients and above all the quality is really perfect. Can I just live at the dessert station? :)

We also got the chance to talk with Mr. Villavicencio, one of the owners of Sambokojin. According to him, what sets Sambokojin apart from the other buffet and grilling restaurants is that all Sambo Kojin branches have invested in several open-type chillers that keep fresh ingredients not only accessible to diners, but also constantly chilled at temperatures not exceeding five degrees centigrade, this can assure everyone that all they serve are fresh.

Although Sambo Kojin puts more emphasis on fresh raw items, which diners can either cook themselves or ask waiters to do for them, the new restaurant chain has adopted well-trained staff have perfected over the decades.Buffets are all about giving diners plenty of choices. Sambo Kojin’s concept, although common in Japan, particularly in the country’s Kansai area, is unique in itself.

The new branch at SM City Fairview can accommodate up to 500 guests. Birthdays are also made more fun and filling at Sambo Kojin with its Free Birthday Buffet promo. A birthday celebrant gets a free buffet when he/she dines in any of the participating restaurants with one full paying adult on their actual birthday, three days before, and three days after that.
