FIGARO Coffee Company held its Latte Art Competition on November 18 at its newest office located at Mandaluyong City. The competition started in the morning, with 18 finalists from different branches in Luzon.

Figaro Coffee Company was established in 1993 by a group of seven friends, whose zeal for coffee was acquired from their travels all over the world.

This passion began as a hobby of brewing, tasting and experimenting with many varieties of coffee from around the globe. It soon grew into a business, with the purpose of sharing the fine art of European coffee culture with the Filipino people.

Figaro's prides itself in serving coffee made from freshly-roasted beans sourced from all over the Philippines. Our coffee is roasted every week before delivery to all stores to ensure freshness and the perfect cup. In addition, Figaro also serves fine meals and delicious pastries and desserts to go along with the perfect cup of coffee.  It is not just a coffee shop that offers pastries and brewed coffee; it’s now serving rice meals, paninis, pizzas, pasta, muffins and sandwiches, with different kinds of beverages. It is currently more of a semi-restaurant that you can visit anytime of the day, because it serves food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has a good mix of the continental and Filipino flavors.

The Latte Art Competition has been their annual event whenever Figaro celebrates their Anniversary. They held this kind of event to establish good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and to enhance the skills of their baristas. The contestants are always from different branches of Figaro, both company owned and franchised.

Out of the 18 contestants, they were narrow down to top 5 finalists. All of them showed their best latte creations. Each contestant needs to complete the task of preparing the coffee of the day and signature coffee creations presenting to the panel of judges their creation. Mr.Justin Liu, Figaro's Executive Director is one of the Judges.
