How to Achieve an Active and Healthy Lifestyle for Busy People

We all know by now that maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle should be one of our top priorities in life. Only by taking care of ourselves do we stand a chance of being the kind of person we strive to be on the job, at home with our loved ones, and in our communities. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

Work, in particular, can get in the way of working out sometimes and that is based from experience since I work in an 8-5 work schedule and there are overtime as well during the weekends. So, when I have free time, I go straight to the gym and do some minimal workout. But  I realize in the end that my extra effort for an exercise routine can lose its benefits if I'm not staying active the rest of the week and if I don't pursue it all the way. 

For some time I was struggling to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle but after some time I followed these easy steps to finally achieve my goal. I hope that these steps will also help you as well.

1. SCHEDULE AHEAD
This is the most important step because planning your week ahead is one major goal you should accomplish. Make a planner and note all the events that will happen in a week, check which time and day is vacant for you and determine when you can easily squeeze
 in a workout and follow this routine every now and then.

2. EAT HEALTHY
Focus on getting the right amount of fruit, vegetables, and proteins on a daily basis.
A great way to do this is by preparing meals in advance for the week.

3. HYDRATE
Our body is composed of 90% water and its really important to take 8 glasses of water a day. If you're that busy at work then you might as well bring a water bottle with you. Its convenient and will keep you away from drinking sodas and unhealthy drinks all day.

4. EXERCISE ON A REGULAR BASIS
Just like my tip #1, if you have scheduled and plan ahead, don't miss your schedule of doing some work out even if you can't make it to the gym. You can easily do an exercise routine at work or at home. Adding as little as 15 or 20 minutes of moderate exercise to your daily activities can boost your energy levels and lower your risk of a number of health conditions.

There are even exercises you can do at your desk or at home while you watch TV! This way you can feel good about yourself and get that great endorphin rush even if your time is jam-packed with daily activities. 

5. WEAR THE BEST & COMFORTABLE WORKOUT CLOTHES
Who says wearing the proper attire when you hit the gym is not important? Having the right woman’s workout clothes can not only keep you safe and comfortable, but it can also make your workout more effective and help you get the results you are looking for. So, there you have it. I hope that these steps will help you achieve that active and healthy lifestyle that we are all looking forward to have. But remember, don't stress about things you can't achieve instantly, there are times we might fall out of track but the important thing is to get up and go back to the proper routine and make it a habit. What matters is your determination to achieve your certain goal.
