Legally Blind starring Janine Gutierrez Premieres February 20 via GMA Afternoon Prime

Last February 17, Bloggers and Kapuso Brigade had the privilege of watching the First Episode of Legally Blind.
Legally Blind tackles a serious note that are true to life particularly to women who are victims of rape, the effects drug abuse, pressures and rivalries within a household, but more importantly on unconditional love that binds families together and the indisputable resiliency of Filipinos amidst life’s challenges.
The story revolves around the life of Grace Evangelista (Janine Gutierrez), a beautiful, hardworking, and responsible law student who eventually passes the board exam with flying colors. Thereafter, a turn of events occur to Grace's life and it will focus on how Grace will eventually take hold of her life as well as for her family.
This drama series showcases Kapuso leading lady Janine Gutierrez’s skill and versatility as an actress, as she breathes life to the character of Grace Evangelista, her most challenging role to date.
Joining her in the series are multi-talented artists.
Mikael Daez is Edward Villareal, the handsome, rich, and principled man who will help Grace in her search for justice and will eventually fall in love with her.
Lauren Young is Charie Evangelista, the younger sister of Grace who is deeply envious of her. She is forced to quit school after her parents decided to invest their money on Grace’s law school fees.
Rodjun Cruz is Joel Apostol, Grace’s old love and boyfriend from law school. He will try to win back Grace’s heart again.
Marc Abaya is William Villareal, the older brother of Edward. He is a successful businessman and married with a child on the way. However, he is easily tempted by his circle of friends.
Marc Abaya was present during the Preview of the first episode of Legally Blind and he said how challenging his role was. Marc mentioned that working with Janine Gutierrez was easy and a breathe of fresh air because she is very natural and professional. He can feel how passionate Janine is when it comes to her craft and she motivates everyone to do the same and give their very best to this project. Marc said that he has worked with Mikael and Rodjun in the past which makes their working relationship even better plus the fact that veteran Ricky Davao is directing the soap, everyone's makes it a point to do their respective roles more perfectly. According to Marc, Direk Ricky gives them the chance to give their own inputs when it comes to their roles which is really nice since they can experiment how to make it more realistic and natural.
Marc said that his role will truly make the public hate him and that makes it even more challenging since he wants to know how he projected his role.
Completing the cast are Chanda Romero as Marissa Evangelista, the loving mother of Grace, Charie, and Nina who is forced to rely on Grace to be the breadwinner of the family when her husband becomes imprisoned.
Therese Malvar as Nina Evangelista, the youngest sibling of Grace and a thoughtful, compassionate bundle of joy who looks up to Grace and keeps her motivated in life.
Lucho Ayala as John Castillo, the best friend and confidante of Edward who is also his partner in the law firm.
Ashley Rivera as Diana Perez, the cheerful lawyer best friend of Grace.
Camille Torres as Elizabeth Guevarra, the career-driven ex-girlfriend of Edward.
After watching the preview of Legally Blind, I can't wait to watch the following episodes! Janine Gutierrez, without a doubt is a versatile actress. She can can very well do comedy, romance, horror and drama projects and for this teleserye, she definitely stands out once again. She can be paired off with any actor and still manage to have that kiig factor in it especially now that she will be paired of with Mikael Daez. As for Marc Abaya, he is without a doubt an actor that will kake you feel you need to see him in person and make him punish for his evil deeds. You've got to watch how important his role as William will be in the story and how Janine as Grace will eventually use her very own knowledge as a board passer of Law to fight for her rights and find her own dignity as well.
