Nayomi Sanctuary Resort: One of a Kind Glamping Experience

Saturday, February 25, 2017

In this ever-changing world we must try to keep up with what’s modern, popular and safe for our environment. Many of us want to experience a vacation getaway worth the time and money, something new and social media worthy.

Glamping (Glamorous Camping) sounds new and exciting, but in reality, glamping goes back, way back. Although not known by some, sleeping outdoors with some comforts is a tradition shared by kings and tribesmen, even our ancestors of the past.

For thousands of years, nomadic people have basically lived outdoors with the shelter of some kind of tent. The idea of camping for fun and recreation is a more recent phenomenon rising in popularity for a little more than 100 years now. But traditional camping could be wet, cold, and just uncomfortable. Enter glamping, which offers a closeness with nature, but with minimal of that scary or unusual effect or impact on the traveler.

But with so many glamping options out there, how do you choose? Well, the best way is to identify the type of accommodation that best suits your needs after picking a destination. Here I will go over my glamping experience which is actually my first one. You will surely enjoy the somewhat familiar, unique and quirky, comfortable, eco-friendly or just not-the-ordinary camping experience I got at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort once you try it too.

Nayomi Sanctuary Resort is located in Balete Batangas. Almost two hours and a half drive from the busy streets of Metro Manila, a sure escape from the urban world. With its 14,418 square meters in area, you can find the perfect getaway for you and your family or with your friends. Surrounded by nature, a relaxing atmosphere that will make anyone feel right at home while detoxing from the stress and busy life you have in the city.

Since it was my first time to try Glamping, I don't really know what to expect except for those that I've seen via YouTube. At around 12 noon, we arrived at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort and was welcomed by their friendly staff together with Ms. Len. We took a quick tour to their amenities which I will also share later then we headed to our destination, our GLAMPING tent. To my delight, I was welcomed once again with a beautiful sight.

All of the tents were built under the trees which makes it refreshing. The view of nature around you plus the magnificent sight of the Taal Lake will give you a memorable
experience indeed.

All the tents were made of cotton canvas which made it look more stylish. During daytime, you will see the reflection of the trees around you. Inside the tent there are three huge and comfy beds fit for 4-6 people.

The quality beds can make you fall sound asleep together with the soft mattress and linens as well as the pillows and there's a lot of them inside!

There's a storage area for your things, towels, electric mosquito killer, huge elctric fan and outlets where you can charge your gadgets. I love the dream catcher though, it made my stay even memorable because I have a fascination with dream catcher since I was a kid.

The tents sits at wooden decks and each space for the glamping area also includes a lounge where you can chill with your love ones.

There's no WIFI so enjoy the company of everyone while chatting personally and doing fun games as well.

Don't fret because glamping will not be complete without the Toilet and Bath which is just a few steps away from the tent. It's complete with tissue, a shower, shower curtain and a bidet! There are no toiletries (shampoo/toothpaste/toothbrush etc.) provided so you have to bring your own.

This is what it looks like at night. It still looks dreamy and don't worry because there are a lot of lamp posts in the area and there are roving staffs around to make you feel safe and secured always.

Presently, there are five tents at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. Two of the tents can accommodate up to eight (8) persons and three (3) tents that can accommodate up to six (6) persons. All includes the same glamping amenities plus it also includes
BREAKFAST of your choice! Wonderful!

For breakfast, we headed to Anahaw Restaurant which I will also do a separate review.
We chose Filipino breakfast and this is actually one of the things I look forward to when I do staycations. My breakfast at Anahaw Restaurant is superb just like my whole experience at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort.

You can choose coffee/ Hot Chocolate or Tea
Beef Tapa
 Daing ng Bangus
Corned Beef

AMENITIES
Once you get settled at your glamping tent, there many ways to get you pre-occupied. Why not dip into the pool. Nayomi has two beautiful infinity pools. One is near the Glamping area and the other one at the top near the villas with lake view.

Playground for kids and kids at heart.

Ifugao house where you can experience a heavenly massage.

Nipa huts everywhere so that you can relax and unwind while savoring the
breathe of fresh air.

Another exciting activity we did was wait for the sunset. At Nayomi Sanctuary Resort, you will get the best seat to watch the sunset.

The sunset is truly mesmerizing. Whenever I get the chance to travel, I always look for that perfect spot where I can watch the sunset and capture it well since I don't use a DSLR Camera and only my very reliable Iphone, I always need the best location and spot to capture it like this photos. No filter indeed only God's filter.

My glamping experience at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort was indeed memorable and worth sharing. I enjoyed my very first glamping experience and I can't wait to try it again someday soon. The benefit glamping is that you’ll be connecting with the nature that you identify with most. This means you won’t only be sustaining the nature around you, but refreshing and nourishing your love of this planet that will push you to continue on the road and travel more, give way to new adventures around you and appreciate Mother Nature.

Don't miss this chance to experience glamping at Nayomi Sanctuary Resort. You will enjoy it more if you'll come in big groups. You can also book for private functionsbecause they offer great deals for weddings, debuts and more!
