Tien Ma's Taiwanese Cuisine: Xiao Long Bao and Taiwanese Dishes!

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Filipinos love eating and since we have been influenced with different kinds of cuisine from all over the world, we get the chance to appreciate and explore more when it comes to different types of food. Taiwanese cuisine is a bit new to me since I'm always digging Japanese food and Chinese food but when it comes to Chinese Food and Taiwanese food, they don't really have much of a difference only they have more specialized dishes that is native to their land.

You don't need to go that far just to have a taste of an authentic Taiwanese dishes. Tien Ma's Taiwanese Cuisine has three branches here in Metro Manila. They have one at their newly opened branch in Makati City, Libis - Quezon City then the pioneer branch at Retiro - N.S. Amoranto Quezon City.

Tien Ma's got its unique name from its great ancestor who started the business.
Now that it is under the Figaro Group of company, they still manages to maintain the authentic and heirloom recipes plus adding more dishes as well and renovating the restaurant too.

Once you enter Tien Ma's, you will be greeted by its simple yet oriental-wooden interior. The interior design will make you feel that you're dining at a local restaurant in Taiwan. They offer minimal decor and wider spaces perfect for bigger groups. Chairs are cozy and the arrangement of big tables gives more room if you're planning to order different dishes perfect for the whole family.

Most of the customers here are Chinese or Taiwanese family since it's strategically located along Banawe Ave. Quezon City, known for its Chinese Community as well. Seating capacity is over 180 and there's also a parking area in front of the restaurant.

The menu was quite extensive but not intimidating. In fact, it's one of the most affordable restaurants I've dine in for quite some time and the food was superb.

Let's start with the tea. Now I always look for tea whenever I dine it at restaurants, before and after eating.

Whenever you drop by at any Taiwanese Restaurants, the must-try will always be their
Xiao Long Bao. It's always the main star of the Menu. It only took me one bite to know how delicious it tasted.

The challenge was to eat it using the chopstick as a whole, because once you drop it in your mouth, the tasty soup will burst in your mouth together with the flavorful meat. It is perfect paired with the black vinegar.
