Ai Ai de las Alas still reigns as local showbiz's comedy queen. Over the years, she has endeared herself to the public by portraying roles of a role model mom.
Mother roles Ai Ai has done cast a magical spell on her fans just like her performances in the movie franchise "Ang Tanging Ina N'yong Lahat."
These portrayals prove to be something that is close to home for the multi-awarded comedienne.
Meet the cast of Our Mighty Yaya
In her biggest and funniest film outing just yet, "Our Mighty Yaya," Ai Ai tackles an almost similar part, that of a nanny, Yaya Virgie, where her mettle as the country's Best Comedy Actress once more shines.
In real life, Ai Ai is a mom, yaya, sister all rolled into one.
The sacrifices she's done to give her children -- Sancho, Nicolo and Sophia -- a better life and a brighter future is an open book.
Eldest son Sancho, whom she opened a restaurant business for, lives with Ai Ai. Nicolo and Sophia, meanwhile, are both in the US to pursue their studies.
"Mother and yaya ang role ko pag nasa Amerika ako. Laba, linis, plantsa at luto ang ginagawa ko para sa kanila. Natutuwa sila kapag nandoon ako dahil nakakatikim sila ng mainit na luto ko. Masaya ako sa ginagawa kong 'yon para sa aking mga anak.
Malayo man sila, kampante ako na hindi sila maliligaw ng landas," shares Ai Ai.
"Our Mighty Yaya" will be shown as a Mother's Day treat in theaters nationwide starting May 10.
Admittedly, it is a favorite playdate of Regal Entertainment, Inc., which holds an impressive track record of Mother's Day offerings.
The mother and daughter team of Lily and Roselle Monteverde is, no doubt, an expert in the field.
In fact, Mother Lily herself was so impressed with the movie as well as Ai Ai's performance after seeing it in its entirety.
Other stars in the film are Megan Young, Miss World 2013, Zoren Legaspi, Sofia Andres, Lukas Magallano, Alyson McBride and more.

Also got the chance to watch the movie during the red carpet premiere of Our Mighty Yaya and Ms. Ai Ai has proven that she is still the reigning Comedy Queen. Without any effort, she portrayed the role of a Yaya that is comical yet heart warming. The movie showcased how Yayas make it easier for every household to last the whole day of activities. Without their help, it would be unbearable for the working parents to last throughout the day and even earn money for their own family.
Direk Jose Javier Reyes created the movie to be fun yet inspiring, it's a perfect Mother's Day treat since being a "Mother" comes in all forms and gender. Lukas Magallano is also a kid to watch out for, eventhough he speaks fluent english all the time, he makes it a point that he can act well, he is "Sam Milby" in the making, hopefully he'll do more projects in the future.
As always, Megan Young did a great job on being a class, posh and strict step mom, you won't forget that she is Miss World 2013 in this film because she looks like it in this movie.
So, gear up for a roller coaster ride of fun, laughter and tears as Yaya Virgie takes moviegoers through a series of adventures and misadventures via "Our Mighty Yaya" from the able direction of Jose Javier Reyes. Showing on May 10 in cinemas nationwide!
