Double Barrel, Sige! Iputok Mo: Showing on August 2 in cinemas nationwide under Viva Films

A lot of people wondered why all of a sudden, action movies suddenly bid farewell in the mainstream. Now is the perfect time to make a big comeback, Viva Films is releasing an action-packed movie which is directed by no less than Toto Natividad who is known for directing action movies and tv series like Ang Panday, Palos and even Ang Probinsyano.
Double Barrel is a hard-hitting action thriller ripped from today’s headlines about a young impoverished couple (AJ Muhlach and Phoebe Walker) working as hired killers.
AJ Muhlach sheds his boy-next-door persona as VIVA Films launches him as the newest action star. Muhlach plays the role of Jeff, a drug pusher who gets caught during an extensive pc operation at a slum area.
After oegging for his life, Jeff is spared from being killec condition that he will become an asset to the police. He must divulge all the names of the drug lords he knows and join the authorities in extrajudicial killings (FJK).
Muhlach underwent rigorous fitness training as proven by his Instagram post last March. This former member of the boy group XLR8 showed off his well-toned body that is perfect for his role. Before this big break, he was seen in "Diary ng Panget", "Talk Back and You're Dead", "Para sa Hopeless Romantic", "Chain Mail", and "Felix Manalo". Muhlach also starred in the TV series "P.S. I Love You", and "Bagets Just Got Lucky".
Phoebe Walker won Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 Metro Manila Rim Festival for her performance in the horror film "Seklusyon". Walker plays Martha, Jeffs wife whose love for him leaves her with no choice but to take part in the never-ending violence. Armed with a gun and shooting down drug personalities, she and her husband are tagged as "mag-asawang birador".
Walker will have steamy love scenes with Aj Muhlach and according to them, before they shoot that intimate scenes, they talked first on how they should do the scenes and Phoebe was glad that she was able to discuss this ahead and she knows that he is also a gentleman.
Aside from the Erik Matti film "Seklusyon", Walker's other movies are "Unconventional and "Gayuma". This half-Filipino, half-British talented VIVA artist was part of the girl group Eurasia.
Ali Kathibi, is half Filipino/ half Iranian. He is a an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Expert and have competed in different fights including URC. The 5’11”/150 lbs. hunk has become a byword among showbiz-watchers because he happens to be the husband of actress Cristine Reyes, with whom he has a daughter, Amarah. In Double Barrel, he plays the role of
SP04 Lagman.
According to Ali, Cristine has given him a lot of advice when it comes to entering the showbiz industry. He knows how dedicated and passionate Cristine is when it comes to acting which is why he ask for pointers. He is just glad that his very first project is an action film wherein he can also showcase his talent in Martial Arts. In return, Ali also taught Cristine mixed martial arts and it was a hands on tutorial, Cristine even got the chance to compete as well.

Jeric Raval, one of the biggest action stars in the '90s, joins the cast. He plays Inspector Bagani, a headstrong police officer who insists on eradicating drug users and pushers despite orders from his superiors to stop EJK.
High-speed vehicular chases, hand-to-hand combat, not to mention gun fights and explosions, are employed in this engrossing action movie that is based on a true story.
"Double Barrel" will be showing in cinemas nationwide starting August 2, 2017.
