Toto Natividad's latest film "Double Barrel" Sige Iputok mo!" has proven that through the years, he is still the master of Filipino action films. The main cast of the film is led by AJ Muhlach, Jeric Raval and Phoebe Walker. The movie is rated graded B by MTRCB.

The cast were all present during the red carpet premiere at Robinson's Galleria:
 Aj Muhlach with Phoebe Walker
Ali Khatibi with wife Cristine Reyes
Jeric Raval with daughter Janina Raval
Direk Toto Natividad

Double Barrel is a hard-hitting action thriller ripped from today’s headlines about a young impoverished couple (AJ Muhlach and Phoebe Walker) working as hired killers.

AJ plays the role of Jeff, a drug pusher who gets caught during an extensive police operation at a slum area. After begging for his life, Jeff is spared from being killed on the condition that he will become an asset to the police. He must divulge all the names of the drug lords he knows and join the authorities in extrajudicial killings (EJK).

Phoebe plays Martha, Jeff’s wife whose love for him leaves her with no choice but to take part in the never-ending violence. Armed with a gun and shooting down drug personalities, she and her husband are tagged as “mag-asawang birador.”

Double Barrel depicts mostly of what happens in our society nowadays. Every time we watch the news, there are killings everywhere and as President Duterte Mentioned, drugs and drug lords will completely be wiped out in the country. The movie is precise and I love how Direk Toto Natividad gave this film a whole new angle, it's not just another action movie with gun fights, it's a movie that will make you feel that we are indeed part of this society, what can we do to help? I love the angle shots, very impressive plus the fight scenes of Jeric Raval and Aj Muhlach made me realize that Jeric Raval didn't seem to age a bit, he seems like he's the same age of Aj in the movie. Ali Khatibi on the other hand gave a one of a kind performance, it doesn't look like it was his first ever acting role because he completely nailed it being a bad ass police officer and I wish he can do more action films in the future or even drama because he has potential and I think he has a really good coach to back him up - his wife Cristine Reyes.

A former member of the boy group XLR8, AJ was in Diary ng Panget, Talk Back and You’re Dead, Para sa Hopeless Romantic, Chain Mail and Felix Manalo; and in the TV series P.S. I Love You and Bagets Just Got Lucky. Aj gave a big revelation on this film, much saying that he has moved on from doing chummy roles and now he's matured enough, he is very much comfortable doing action movies. He also have a very daring scene with Phoebe Walker in this movie, a move not everyone can really say that they can pull it off but Aj did, with flying colors.

Aside from the Erik Matti film Seklusyon, Phoebe also starred in Unconventional and Gayuma. The half-Filipino/half-British Viva artist was part of the girl group Eurasia.
Phoebe proved that even a mestiza looking woman like her can justify a "birador" role who lives in the squatters area in Manila . She fits the role perfectly and she can very well do more action movies in the future. The ending gap of the movie with a background song is brilliant.

Don't miss the comeback of action films with the latest movie of Viva Films
