Residents of Antipolo need not go to Manila to enjoy gourmet food and have a great dining experience with the formal opening of the third branch of Marison’s at SM City Masinag,
 last July 22, 2017.

Marison's began with a concept that residents of Antipolo do not need to go to Manila to enjoy gourmet food and a great dining experience. The idea was to offer an experience at par or exceeding of what can be found in popular districts such as Fort Bonfacio, Makati CBD, Ortigas, etc.

Marison's, armed then with 9 employees quietly opened its doors on Dec 1, 2013 while its owner, Marison Villareal, a retired Tax Lawyer for 35 years and a cancer survivor is recuperating in the hospital after an hysterectomy a day prior to the opening day.

The first few months of operation proved to be very difficult. Its owners lack the background and experience in running a restaurant. But the owners did not lose faith.

With faith in God, competent employees, excellent food and service, Marison's slowly but surely gained acceptance in the community and earned a reputation as a great family restaurant. Good and excellent reviews from happy customers in travel sites such as TripAdvisor and Zomato helped Marison's to get noticed even more.

Soon, it is not only the local community that has taken notice of Marison's, but celebrities such as Kris Aquino and Mikael Daez took notice. Marison's has been featured numerous times on TV shows namely KrisTV, Midnight Express segment of Saksi, Unang Hirit and Cook Eat Right and even globally through TFC Kapamilya Treat of Dimples Romana on The Filipino Channel overseas. Unpaid bloggers likewise helped Marison's establish its good reputation.

The name "Marison's" came from the wife of Mr. Ricky Villareal. Most of her friends in her hometown in Laoag call her Marison so this is the name that they used for the restaurant.

Within 3 years of its operation, with Marison's SM City Masinag in Antipolo as the latest addition to its growing network of stores, Marison's has now grown from its initial 9 employees to 45 regular employees (we do not hire contractual) and three branches.

So far, my TOP 3 dishes at Marion's are the following:

Pork Binagoongan Php 310
Lechon kawali in toasted alamang served with eggplant and fresh green mangoes

 Pork Sinigang Php 310
Pork Liempo in thick tamarind soup

Frozen Brazo Php 130
Rich Brazo de Mercedes on top of Mantecado ice cream and crushed sweet apa

 Watermelon Shake Php 80

Calamansi Juice Php 80

Its original vision of offering a great dining experience to the local community was achieved and more. Now, people travel to Antipolo just to experience what Marison's has to offer.
Marison's envisions to continue to innovate on Filipino Cuisine and to be a shining example of a small, homegrown company practicing good business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
