It was noted also that the country is fast becoming a mobile-first community. Most households now do not anymore use laptops or desktops, but only have smart phones for online connection. On gaming, it was observed that online games accounted for the majority of time used on digital.
All these just show that a large chunk of the population now owns a gadget or a piece of tech, be it a smart phone or a gaming console. If you are part of this statistic, then you are in for an exciting treat as August 1 marks the start of SM's annual celebration of Cybermonth - a grand festival for techies, gamers, and gizmo lovers in 63 SM malls nationwide.
SM Cyberzone launches CYBERMONTH for all tech lovers who wants to be updated with the latest gadget in town.
The event was hosted by Janeena Chan.
The ribbon cutting was done via a digital ribbon cutting with the country's leading tech innovators. Representative of Smart Communications, Asus Philippines and Vivo Philippines were there to support Cybermonth.
