Maricris Garcia all set for her solo concert 'MAR1CR1S' on September 28 at Teatrino, Greenhills

With the ever expanding GMA Network's roster of stars, its really hard for one to stay relevant at a given time specifically when it comes to singers and performers, one after the other, there are new one, more powerful voices and even younger.
Maricris Garcia has worked her way to GMA and to the showbiz industry bhy working hard on it, she was the third grand champion of Pinoy Pop Superstar and later became a member of the singing trio La Diva along with Jonalyn Viray and Aicelle Santos. Maricris Garcia tied the knot last December 2016 with TJ Cruz at San Antonio de Padua Church and since she's been a loving and supportive wife but she is still very much active in showbiz.
This year, Maricris is celebrating her 11th year in the industry and to celebrate it, she will be having her first ever solo concert entitled, "MAR1CR1S" on September 28 at Teatrino, Greenhills. This will also be a celebration of her birthday which will be on September 26.
"The show is going to be more of a storytelling type. I want to share my journey since I started my career up to the present as well as my personal life, my musical influences and more." shared Maricris. She added that the planning stage was a bit hard and at times she felt pressured and stressed, good thing is that GMA Artist Center and most of her friends in the industry were very supportive of her and really pushed her to finally have a concert of her own because she really deserves it.
"MAR1CR1S" promises a grand ensemble of music, entertainment and nostalgia as the Kapuso diva looks back on her journey in the industry. Maricris personally conceptualized the concert which was brought to life by director Marc Lopez.
She will be joined by the industry's best singers including Nar Cabico, Mark Bautista and Asia;s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. Maricris shared that she felt really happy and thankful that Ms. Regine welcomed her invitation with open arms as to be a guest on her concert, she knew that she is very busy but when she said yes and even came to the point of following up if the concert will push through made Maricris love her even more. She said that the Asia's Songbird has always been very supportive of everyone and she felt really grateful that she got the chance to work with her.
Aside from getting busy with her upcoming concert. Maricris will also be part of an upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime teleserye with co-stars Kris Bernal, Jason Abalos and Rayver Cruz. According to Maricris, she will be portraying a good role in this series unlike her past roles where she was a friend of a kontrabida and so on. But before this, Maricris Garcia sung the OST of the upcoming teleserye of GMA Network "IKA-5 Utos" with the title
"Huwag Kang Papatay".
With Rachelle Anne Go and Aicelle Santos enjoying the life in Broadway, Maricris is also willing to try and be part of a musical play, in fact she added that she also auditioned in a Broadway show before but because of tight schedule, she wasn't able to push it through. If she will be given a chance, she would also love to try it and give it a chance.
The Kapuso star feels grateful that she has the opportunity to live out her passion, "I want to let them know that I'm still here and I will always be here, singing." Maricris is also set to release her new album early next year just in time for Valentines Day.
