Mio Gelati Now Open at Ayala Malls Vertis North

Saturday, November 18, 2017

The holiday season has been getting everyone busy going from one mall to another and aside from shopping and buying Christmas gifts to everyone, we,Filipinos can't deny the fact that we love eating and trying out new food destinations near or even far from us. One of my favorite dessert is Gelato and thankfully, Mio Gelati recently opened their newest branch at Ayala Vertis North, so rejoice North peeps!

Compared to ice cream, you can only count with your fingers the stores that serve gelato around Metro Manila. While what sets gelato apart from ice cream seems hard to identify, there’s actually a huge difference between the two. Gelato is churned at a slower pace, which lets in a lot less air than ice cream does. This leaves a smoother, silkier texture than ice cream, and lets the flavor take more of the center stage than the fat. Gelato also melts slower compared to ice cream, which is perfect for the harsh, summer sun and our tropical weather here in the Philippines.

Mio Gelati is located at the 3rd Floor of Ayala Vertis North. Once there, you will be welcomed with their very inviting pink and white store filled with sweet treats that will surely satisfy your cravings for a gelato day.

There are so many fab treats during the grand opening of Mio Gelati at Ayala Vertis North and everyone's excited to check out their gelato and gelato shakes as well.

Mio Gelati in English is "My Gelato". Mio Gelati takes pride in their premium homemade gelato flavors, which are churned out with natural ingredients, and free from artificial flavors. Gelato has lower fat and sugar content than regular ice cream, hence, it is generally healthier and lower in calories.

Present during the grand opening of Mio Gelati is the owner Ms. Celina Nolasco who was able to establish her own business at an early age.

It was in 2011 when she started her gelato business, she though at that time it's perfect to a tropical country like the Philippines. She ended up doing it via food trucks then showcasing it to food bazaars and the prestige food market Mercato. Since they've been getting a lot of good feedback about their gelato, they decided to open a kiosk in Century City Mall.

Celina's favorite is Ferrero and Pistachio. She added that she makes it a point to be very hands on with her business and they will continuously showcase new flavors and surprises for their customers.

What makes Mio Gelati stand out from the rest according to her is that it's homemade and they always make gelatos in small batches so that they always serve fresh.
