TRES starring Luigi Revilla, Bryan Revilla & Jolo Revilla now showing! (Movie Review)

Tuesday, October 09, 2018

Jolo Revilla, Luigi Revilla, and Bryan Revilla stars in an action packed movie Tres. Described as a socially relevant trilogy, it's a movie that depicts what in currently happening in the country right now, with the government's battle to end drugs. We've seen some similar movie plots about drugs lately and this only tackles what goes on in and out of the horrific society that protects drug-related issues in the country.

TRES is the latest offering from IMUS productions. Jolo, Luigi, and Bryan attempts to continue the family's legacy started by their grandfather Ramon Revilla in the early 1950s.
It is only normal and given that the new generation of Revillas would follow the path of their grandfather and father to continue the legacy of their winning streak and legendary action films. After all, they started it all and it shouldn't stop especially because they're all very talented.

"Tres" is a three-part action anthology series, which is composed of the films "72 Hours" starred in by his brother Jolo Revilla, "Amats" led by Luigi Revilla.

Bryan Revilla leads the cast of "VIRGO" which is the first episode in the movie TRES. It is a film about deception and drugs. It also stars Joey Marquez, Carla Humphries and Paolo Paraiso. It is directed by Richard Somes.

The second episode is "AMATS" which is starred by Luigi Revilla, the "bunso" among the three new generation of Revillas. This is the first ever movie of Luigi which tackles about how the young, the penniless gets driven to use drugs as a way to forget and earn money, it also stars Markus Patterson, Assunta de Rossi and Myrtle Sarrosa. It is directed by
Don Santos.

The finale episode is "72 Hours" which stars actor-politician Jolo Revilla. He plays Marius Reyes - an anti-narcotics agent who is driven to fight a "big war" against a Chinese tycoon who has a syndicate of drugs. It stas Benj Manalo as his "beshy"-side-kick, Arron Villaflor, Dominique Roque, Rhian Ramos, Tirso Cruz III, Albert Martinez, Philip Salvador and Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla. Directed by Dondon Santos.

Present during the special screening of TRES at Santolan Town Plaza were the Revilla Brothers: Luigi, Bryan and Jolo.

Jolo Revilla on his upcoming movie plus Rhian Ramos also present at the screening

Bryan, Luigi and Jolo surely got it from the grandfather and father. The skills, the talent and good looks. They all have that 100% all in all package of the makings ob being the next action star and what better to start it than producing their very own movies.

For a newbie, Luigi gave a nice portrayal of his role and to do intimate scenes with no less than Assunta de Rossi, it might probably gave him some awkward experience but while watching the movie, he looks very natural on it. I can also imagine him doing drama roles, for his aga, he can be very well paired with different young actress today, he also looks good paired with Myrtle Sarrosa.

Bryan Revilla on the other hand looks good in his bad-ass role of a PDEA agent, his scenes were all spot-on. From action scenes to gun-related killings, his scenes with Joey Marquez is quite good, knowing that Joey Marquez is one of the best veteran actors to date plus he also starred in some of the best action films like OTJ, this is surely a big experience to Bryan.

Jolo Revilla, without a doubt, is like a replica of his father Bong Revilla. Watching him do his action scenes, spill his lines and do that "ninja moves" on his leading lady on screen is very very Bong Revilla. I can really see him follow the footsteps of his father and I wish he'll do more because he is very talented. His tandem with Benj Manalo is perfect, Benj is a very talented and versatile actor - he can do comedy, action or drama which is a perfect combination with Jolo. I wish they'll do a continuation of "72 hours" because it can be a stand alone film, plus the end credits with the new leading lady, it's surely a winner.

Don't miss TRES as the Revilla brothers continue the legacy of their family, now showing in cinemas nationwide!
