There has been a lot of efforts to unite the invisible differences of each towns in the country, these differences might not be serious to most of us but it shouldn't be done as well. For example, when people jokingly teased someone for having an accent saying "Ay Bisaya kasi yan!", it can be very insulting to the ears right? These and more, but what can really unite people together aside from good food and amazing tourists spots? Sports.
It's obvious that whenever Pambansang Kamao Senator Manny Pacquiao have a fight, there's zero crime rate across the country and this is very well proven. Boxing is an amazing sport and Filipinos are known to be very active in sports and very competitive as well. With this in mind, this is where Laban ng Lahi was created.

What is LABAN NG LAHI? How was it formed?
Laban ng Lahi 2018 is a tourism-for-a-cause & semi-advocacy philippine-based global competition. This is a torism-for-a-cause project because it emphasizes the importance of promoting the best Philippine provinces have, showcasing how beautiful filipino cultures are despite the diversities that is why Igorot platoon will be competing in “bahag attire” to show how beautiful Igorot people are.
Laban ng Lahi 2018 is likewise a semi-advocacy project because the event is enjoining all groupings to actively participate in this global competition in the name of peace & reconciliation. MILF, MNLF & CPP NPA are welcome to participate.
LGBT & Womens group are also welcome and so with the corporate companies and university/college students. Laban ng lahi 2018 on the other hand is not just about running competition because it is also designed to help address the problem of poverty and hunger that is why benefit projects such as “itikan love project”, marawi rehabilitation contribution, road concreting project and franchising business project will be undertaken immediately after the competition.
This is also part of the town’s annual week long celebration of the ZARRAGA PANTAT FESTIVAL to be held this December 16-18, 2018.

The event is also for peace advocacy, as this aim to welcome groups like the CPP/NPA, MILF, MNLF, CPLA, RPA-ABB, for them to participate in the name of National Peace and Reconciliation. The organization will also be funding "Itikan Love Projects" which is a duck raising program aimed to benefit 1000-2000 of the poorest households per province. This also will hasten to improve and support local and national tourism efforts so people would get to see a quaint Filipino town as its 24 barangays welcome you to Zarraga, one of Iloilo’s charming municipalities. In short, proceeds of laban ng lahi “love of country raffle promo” will go to these benefit projects.

The ZARRAGA PANTAT FESTIVAL 2018 will also be having a whole day affair (September 16) at the Saintsville Subdivision grounds which starts at 2:30PM (assembly) with a parade of stars starting promptly at 3PM. Celebrities including Ara Mina, Maria Laroco from XFactor UK, “Mr Pastillas” Chard Ocampo, Youtube viral sensations Moymoy Palaboy from GMA, JC Del Rosario, Mitoy Yonting, super popular loveteam #MayWard (Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber), good looking Daniel Matsunaga, Rocksteddy, Ryan Bang and other surprise guests are expected to be there. LABAN NG LAHI 2018’s official car partner is Chevrolet Philippines.

– must have at least three (3) Female runners maximum of 10 foreigners (if there are any) otherwise the team will become a foreign team
FOREIGN TEAM
– must have at least two (2) foreign female runners and one (1) Philippine Passport Holder Female runner.
– Must have at least three(3) Philippine Passport holder runners (2 males & 1 Female)

TEAM BANNER & GUIDON – must be prepared by the organizers and will be fitted to a weight loaded stick
ABSOLUTE DISQUILIFICATION RULE: Team Banner or Guidon once folded, destroyed or lowered below head level automatically disqualifies the team. This is a no question ask rule
